Once item is checked out more thoroughly, price will possibly double at a minimum, more if item is working perfectly. Item recovered locally and will be sold AS IS. This auction is for a Simpson Digital Multimeter. Gold Face, Model 464A that Powers Up! This will not come with a power cord, but is a three-prong D-style power cord which is pretty common and easy to obtain. The case shows signs of aging ... moreand might need a nice cleaning. A few fade spots and brownish stains on bottom of case. The handle that pulls out of the sides to adjust for different angles works fine and is not broken. The digital screen looks fine. All the buttons on the front panel are present and all seem to push in and out fine. All four test connections on front are intact and look fine. Bottom of unit still has the 2 original rubber feet but show signs of aging, and 2 are missing but screws still there. Back of unit takes power plug, has sticker that says it is a Model 464A. Plugged unit in and pushed the red POWER ON button, and digital display showed clearly with zeroes(000) Tested DCV and looks to be right on. Tried to measure ACV and Ohms, but was jumping around and wouldn't settle down. Don't know if its my sketchy probes or just needs calibration. Has old cal. sticker that says calibration due on 10-09, so probably needs a good calibration. Never seen one with a gold colored face before. Thanks for your time. Though we like to underrate the description of the item. There are times when people get an untested/parts-repair items and are pleasantly surprised when they work perfectly well.

Item recovered locally and will be sold AS IS. This auction is for a Simpson Digital Multimeter. Gold Face, Model 464A that Powers Up! This will not come with a power cord, but is a three-prong D-style power cord which is pretty common and easy to obtain. The case shows signs of aging and might need a nice cleaning. A few fade spots and brownish stains on bottom of case. The handle that pulls out of the sides to adjust for different angles works fine and is not broken. The digital screen looks fine. All the buttons on the front panel are present and all seem to push in and out fine. All four test connections on front are intact and look fine. Bottom of unit still has the 2 original rubber feet but show signs of aging, and 2 are missing but screws still there. Back of unit takes power plug, has sticker that says it is a Model 464A. Plugged ... moreunit in and pushed the red POWER ON button, and digital display showed clearly with zeroes(000) Tested DCV and looks to be right on. Tried to measure ACV and Ohms, but was jumping around and wouldn't settle down. Don't know if its my sketchy probes or just needs calibration. Here's a great vintage Simpson model 461 digital multimeter with leather carrying case and transformer. There's even a little case for the transformer! The original instruction book is included too. Overall it is in good condition. Though there is some damage to the carrying case and strap. The transformer cord has been repaired by a previous owner with electrical tape. The multimeter hasn't been fully tested and is sold as-is, but the display did come on when I plugged it in. You can't beat the classic tech coolness of this multimeter. Sorry for the crappy picture of the battery compartment. Currently. I have four fresh AA carbon ones but they can be replaced with rechargeable NiMH or NiCDs. For Sale: I am offering a Very Nice Simpson True RMS Digital Multimeter. Works great! Compact. This type of unit was commonly used by the military. This unit comes with the original Army AN/PSM-45 technical manual. Which is Like New Condition. The manual stores conveniently behind the foam insert in the top of the case. And is held in place by a nice stainless steel snap with a leather pull strap. If you look closely. The second from left button cover is missing from the top row of buttons. Otherwise, this is just great condition. What a find!
