This Triplett Model 60 VOM has been tested on AC volts. DC volts, and ohms. The needle moves freely and the instrument gives accurate readings in all 3 functions. The meter lens is clear with no cracks or major scratches. I believe the leads are original Triplett leads and have no breaks or tears in the insulation. Vintage Simpson model 260 VOM AC DC voltage tester multimeter
Bidding on a vintage Simpson Model 260 multimeter. The date written inside the case is from 1961. The unit has been bench tested and everything works. A"D" cell battery is required for operating the ohmeter but it has been removed to reduce shipping costs and prevent corrosion. All switches. Knobs and dials work and the meter"zeros" properly. The leather carrying strap is attached. There is no case. The probes are included but the wires have some cracks.

VINTAGE ~1960 TRIPLETT MODEL 310 VOM ORIG CASE & BOX, DCV WORKS! NEEDS BATTERIES
This is a very nice vintage early‘60s“TRIPLETT MODEL 310” volt-ohm meter that was in full working condition several years ago. DC Volts function is still working when tested with a 1.5VDC battery(see photos) But it needs replacement test leads with correct jack-ends and new internal batteries to check full functionality of the instrument. Serial# 29426. Details: Original test leads got pitched or lost( So a 2 nd set of probes w/o the correct meter-end jacks(see photos) were stripped and inserted into the“Common” VOM” jacks to check operation. I tested DC Volts with a 1.5VDC battery and the readings were correct on 2 scales(3 DCV& 12 DCV- see photos) Plastic case has no cracks that I can see– very nice condition· Original Leather“GENUINE TOP GRAIN COWHIDE MADE IN U.S.A. optional case is in EXCELLENT condition· Original box is ... morein very good condition(see photos) A service record document and a sticker inside the box indicate it’s at least 51 years old(1962) Meter is easy to read and needle still sweeps smoothly. Shows signs of use and wear as expected for its age. Visible components from the back appear to be in very good shape(see photos) Appears to be all-original components and hardware· The white common lead wire solder joint was broken to the“+” contact(upper left corner where 15V& 1.5V batteries have a common terminal– see photo) I stripped that wire and temporarily secured it to the spring steel contact point– but could not get a continuity reading. Issues: Batteries dead? probably. Other issues– I don’t know? This instrument was used regularly and with a new set of lead wires and batteries it will probably return to its’ original full working condition. It’s a very nice. This is a very nice vintage July 31. 1948“WESTON MODEL 779 ANALYZER” type 1A volt-ohm-ampere meter that still works(at least to the ability of my testing skills) Tested on low resistance settings(continuity touching probes to each other) and they all work. I don’t have a resistance box. So I can’t test if R readings are calibrated or accurate. OHM-zero-adjust knob works very nicely(see photo with needle at full sweep) Tested on 2.5VDC and 10VDC voltage scales– 1.5VDC batteries give readings that are scaled properly if you assume full sweep is 2.5VDC. But I don’t understand why the lowest voltage scale on the meter face is labeled 5VDC? So. Although I’m fairly confident it’s functioning properly, I can’t guarantee readings are calibrated or accurate. Meter is easy to read and needle sweep is very smooth– nice instrument! Measured the 15V internal ... morebattery(Eveready 411) with a second voltmeter– it barely deflected. I presume this battery is used for the high resistance settings? I have no way to test them. Anyway. Photo is not clear. But the yellow ink-stamp date reads“ Jul 31 1948” Maybe this was the one of the first ~6500 they made? serial number 6361) Shows signs of use and wear as expected for its age. Components look to be in very good shape(see photos) Case is very sturdy and all intact– all bottom feet present· No missing screws– and all-original hardware· Lid is removable as shown in photos· Inside the lid. It still has the elastic strap for the wires and 90° jacks and the 2 wood stowage slots for the long test leads. Both original leads are present with original jacks, probes, and plastic on both ends(although the wires are extra crispy J) This instrument was used regularly. There are no chips or cracks in the case. I do not have a means of testing the meters operation but I have opened the case and inspected the circuitry. I don't have batteries to test it. It could be in working condition but unsure. It's missing a screw at the bottom corner. Looks to be in fine cosmetic condition. Little wear on the meter. This Heathkit Handitester Model M-1 does work but not on low ohms. On low ohms. 1 resistor is broken and the ohm adjustment potentiometer is scratchy. Not sure on the accuracy, I measured a 9 volt battery and scale read 6 volts. The bakelite case has a small crack in the lower left hand corner period. It also has its normal wear and tear on it.
