I took the back off of it because I heard somethign moving around inside and I wanted to see what it was. Well after I got it apart the little clip. That you can see in the image below. Appeared in the dial compartment. I didn't open the dial compartment to put it back in place. So that will need to be done. 2. It is possible these places were made when the unit was made. The round part does work. Because I turned the knob on the front when I was testing the unit. This is just above the handle and it runs from front to back and is about 2 1/2" long It comes with 2 alligator clamp leads and a leather case. It looks as there was suppose to have been a front to the case. But that part is missing. Stays in the part of the case, that I have, good. Not in mew condition. The case is in great shape with some scuffs and light scratches. There is a small chip area in the corner that is hard to see. It is shown in the photos. The screen is very clean and clear.
