Fluke 87 Upper Support Frame For LCD Display
This Upper Support Frame for the LCD display was taken from a recycled Fluke 87. The tangs on the frame hold the LCD Display and its elastomeric connectors tight against the Main Printed Circuit Board. A loose frame can cause blurring and fading of the LCD Display. It will fit some other 80 series meters. But it is up to you to decide if it will fit your meter. Please be sure this is the one you want before ordering. I have used JB epoxy to repair the upper left tang which was about to break off. This means you will need to slip the circuit board into that side, making sure the tangs are in place, before pushing down to seat the other two tangs. I have tested this and it is no problem whatsoever. Because this is a used, and refurbished part there is a low starting bid. New this parts often sells for $25.00 or more, plus shipping. Most items I sell for over $600 and I refurb. Re-cal, guaranty them for 90 days. This one might not sell if I invest the extra effort and charge over $600 for it, so it has a buy-it-now price of only $459, and did not(or only partially) benefit from my value adding services just mentioned. It has a starting bid of only $349, so either way good luck! This was a high end benchtop meter. Perhaps the only one with dual display to simultaneously measure 2 quantities, such as DCV and AC ripple riding on it, or ACV and frequency. This specimen, serial 5665107, has options 5(GPIB) I don't have a book for this instrument. But it is easy to figure out, or download it from the net. First photo shows 45 measuring voltage of a standard mercury calomel cell as 1.0189.
