And all buttons are a go. I have illustrated measuring a 1.5V size AA DC battery, a 9-volt DC battery and direct connection to a wall socket at 120V p-p AC voltage. I have not tested the ohm side, but if I had a diode or something I would. When I short the wires, resistance reading is a flat.0000 and an open circuit floats like a crystal ship in an eternal sky. This meter has been completely checked out for proper operation of all functions. I have compared it to a calibrated Fluke 8840A digital meter. This meter is accurate and is well within the Simpson specifications. Pictures 8 and 9 show it being compared on the 250 VDC and 50 VDC ranges. This meter was right on the money and well within specifications on all functions and ranges. This meter has a parallax mirror to ensure a more accurate viewing of the meter needle. The leather case is used but in very good solid condition with all hardware in great condition with no corrosion. The meter movement works perfectly. The dial face and glass are in excellent condition. The meter case ... morehas no scratches. Cracks, or other signs of abuse. There are no names or numbers etched into it. Please see the pictures that show the exterior from all sides. The front panel is in the same great condition with all control knobs and markings in very clean near new condition. The battery compartment is clean with no corrosion or damage and new batteries are installed. The handle is in great condition and a set of new test leads are included.
