Specifications and condition: This is a fully functional and guarenteed working awesome Triplett Analog Multimeter, I have had this for many years and have used it from time to time with no problems. I guarantee it will work for you or your money back. This meter works on all scales with exception to the Resistance scale on the 100K setting. This meter has an internal 30V battery which currently has 22VDC across it now. It shows some aging with signs of acid on it but it is working so I did not remove it but it should probably be replaced. The picture shows the 1.5VDC D cell removed but needs to be in for the ... moreresistance measurements to work. It does not need to be in for the voltage scales to work right. Here is a meter made around 1949 and is the original of the many Triplett 630s in the series. No suffix, not type 1,2, etc. This meter has had a good life by all indications. The case is free of any chips or cracks. The leather handle is in good shape but for a few slight surface flaws, and the movement, contacts, and controls work properly and are free of intermittents. So it's clearly been used but well taken care of. I'm not a calibration lab but I have tested every range and all readings look reasonable. Sadly. Triplett Model 630 and Model 630A Multimeter
Triplett Model 630 VOM(Volt Ohm Meter) Type 6 These are not operating. For sale– a pair of Triplett Model 630 Type VOMs. I didn’t realize it(until I peeked in the manuals) But these are 1.5 percent accuracy instruments. Far better than most 20.000 ohms/volt meters. My thought was to use two to make one good one and have some spare parts. I have. However, been informed that I have too many projects, they take up too much room, I take too long to complete anything, and that I will be getting rid of some of them. Soon. One of the 630s( the Model 630A on the left) has a broken meter face(glass) and the meter movement appears to be open. The case is beat up and there are some sloppy epoxy repairs to cracks. Internally. It looks very good. Nothing blown that I can see. All the knobs and switches are original and are present. The other one( a Model ... more630) has a better. But still quite worn, case with some small repairs, no big cracks, and an intact leather carrying strap. The meter movement in this one seems to be ok. All the knobs and switches are original and are present. Internally. It looks to be in excellent condition. The 630A has a neat mirrored scale which I think could be swapped into this one to make it look pretty good. Unfortunately. I made a few quick DC measurements and the calibration seems to be off. Recalibration could be simple. Or not. I’m including a CD containing two Triplett Instruction Manuals with sections on specifications. Operation, and maintenance. A Schematic and Parts Listing is also included. I’ll pack‘em myself for free and try to ship as economically as possible.

Triplett Model 630-APLK Analog Multimeter: This is a used vintage Triplett Multimeter. It is in excellent condition. It comes in its original leather case which appears to be in good condition. The handle strap of the case. The handle strap on the meter and the inside strap to secure the meter are intact with no rips and no sign of dry rot. The case is held closed with Velcro that has been glued on and I doubt that that is original. The meter has replacement batteries, a NEDA#210 and a D Cell and it works well on all functions. While putting in the batteries, we found that one of the machine screws holding the meter together is missing, but the receiving threaded female socket is intact, with no signs of breakage. This meter came from an estate and the previous owner took good care of his equipment. The meter has the calibration sticker dated ... more10-12/83. This is a Triplett Model 630 NA test meter which belonged to PG&E(Pacific Gas& Electric) It is in a hard leather case. Has type 4 suspension. The case has a webbed carry strap, the meter has a leather carry strap. Last calibrated in June, 1987. I have no idea if it would work, but it's really neat to look at!

Triplett Multimeter model 630, with original case, owners manual and papers.
Triplett 630 Multimeter. It has the original case. Owners manual and warranty card with it. Also a new set of probes. It works on all functions. With the following defects. The needle is slightly bent, as you can see in the picture, however it does not affect the readings. It needs a 1&1,2 volt battery to make the ohm's read on the lower 3 scales, and then a 22 volt battery for the highest ohm scale. They are not included. It has a small chip out of the case as also shown in the picture. The positive lead for the 1 and 1/2 volt battery is chipped off and can be fixed to hold the battery. I just used a alligator clip to hold battery tight, Shipped in well packed box. This is a very original meter. The operating manual date is 1953, but not sure of the meter year.
