Being offered is a vintage 1970's multimeter from USSR Russia. Model ц4312. The meter itself measures 8.5" x 4.5" x 3" Encased in a rugged plastic, with an aluminum face plate and back. I replaced the battery. The photos are a good representation of condition. The meter case is in good condition with no cracks or breakage. The meter is stored in a nice aluminum case. Measuring 9" x 6.5" x 4" There are a few places missing paint but it is nice and straight with no dents. The leather handle is very nice, no cracking or tears. A set of leads and probes are included. I first tested the batteries with our battery cycler and then ran some tests and compared them with one of our newer Fluke meters with the following results. The internal ni-cad batteries tested at a little over 67% life left and should be good for a few hours away from AC power. Current test. A 100 ma. load measured 100.0 ma. vs 100.1 on 8010M. ... moreA 1.5 Amp load measured 1.5A vs 1.513A on the 8010M. DC voltage test. A 5.000 VDC Reference Voltage measured 5.00 on both meters. Unit seems to be all there, with a couple small scuffs on the case and a little dirty here and there. There is a small piece of plastic broke off(pic 2) but does not affect functionality of unit. Has carrying handle that works fine. Two black rubber feet on bottom are intact. Plugged unit into household current and charged overnight. Unplugged unit from household current and used internal battery power to test. Pushed green POWER ON button and came up with 0's on display. Don't know how long these run between calibrations, but this unit has red sticker that says CALIBRATION NOT REQUIRED For Engineering Use Only. Can probably be calibrated if needed, but testing shows it is pretty accurate. ... moreThe multimeter takes a D-style power cord, which will be included. Will not include probes, ones in picture are my test probes and aren't very good, but good enough to check items with. Checked DC battery, AC outlet and a resister on both Fluke and another newer digital meter to compare amounts. As you can see with battery, they are both the same. Ran out of pics, but did show meter plugged into 110 outlet, and shows 119 volts, which is fine. Newer meter checked about the same. Also did a resistance check with this and newer meter, and it was right on again. Did not check amperage because that is a real hassle(meter has to be inline with the circuit) Don't know how long battery power will last, but had no problems with running out of power when testing. Here is a Fluke 75 Series 2 Multimeter with extra leads and fresh battery. This is a previously owned and used item with minor signs of such. The battery has been freshly replaced and the unit is ready for use. This was an estate find and is in as-found condition. Excluding the battery. There are two extra leads, one with alligator clips and the other is a DC/AC current probe. There are also two bypass cable included. Please see pictures for a general idea of condition and further understanding of items included. This multimeter will make a nice addition to your collection. Eico 565 Multimeter VOM Vintage (from kit) Works but has a battery problem
This vintage Eico 565 Multimeter is in good cosmetic and working condition. With a battery problem noted below. While the unit certainly has been in use and the case has typical scuffs, cosmetically it is very presentable. It will benefit from cleaning. There are no chips in the case, the meter dial is clean, and the glass is good. The leather carrying strap has some scuffing along the edges, but the leather is uncracked and supple. Electrically I have been able to measure AC& DC voltages. As well as resistance. The voltage readings compared well with my digital VOM. Assembly quality is first rate. The only flaw I am aware of is that one of the terminals in the(internal) battery holder has been broken off due to corrosion. The PO had solved this problem by soldering a wire onto the first of 4 AA batteries. See the photo. I don't see ... moreevidence of corrosion to other areas of the meter. I tried to get this straightened out. But just never really was satisfied. If this item doesn't sell, I will install an aftermarket battery holder from Radio Shack and replace the existing holder for(4) AA bats. There is plenty of room inside the case I think. No batteries are included. I am including a set of probes. Sorry. No returns but the unit will react as I've mentioned above. I did not try the current measurement function.
