Up for bids is this rare and vintage Wintronix Induced Waveform Analyzer model 850 built by Winston Electronics. Inc. dated 1957. This unit works by using capacity pickup probes that are placed over the glass envelope of an electron vacuum tube. One pickup probe is included for 7 and 9 pin miniature tubes. The original 24-page Instruction Handbook with schematic and all needed information is included. Everything looks to be in very good condition, but I do not know if it works. Motorola Model S-1318A FM signal generator- S/N: 887. Made by Measurements. Boonton, NJ- Circa early 1970's. This is a later solid state version of one of the classic pieces of test equipment found on the bench and in the service vans of many two way radio shops of the 50's- 70's- before service monitors became the norm. That's where this particular piece came from- I've had it for 6 years or so and it's worked well for me. Six frequency ranges: 25-32. 32-41, 41-54, 130-175, 400-470, and 890-960(2nd harmonics) Mhz. this is the model that also has an IF band generator built in- BNC jack for output. Those ranges are: 2.4-3.9, 3.9-6.0, 6.8-9.4, and 69-76MHz, plus there are a couple crystal jacks on the front panel for 250 Khz- 1 Mhz. I never had occasion to use the 890-960 band or the IF generator- they both show output ... moreto my frequency counter(the 890-960Mhz RF band reads@ 1/2 the dial frequency) This piece also has the 6dB attenuator pad on the output(you read output level on the right side line on the clear plastic overlay of the output dial) the output of the pad is an"SO-239" UHF female connector that mates with a"PL-259" UHF male. No RF or IF output cable is supplied with this item. I never had this instument calibrated or serviced- it always worked fine for me and the results were completely consistent with the specs of the working equipment that I checked with it. I'm making no specific claims as to it's accuracy. Also included in the auction is the OEM Motorola manual and power cord. I do not have the front cover for this item- the latch bar and hinge pins are in place on the case. Cosmetically it's in good condition with scratches and marks consistent with it's age. HP/Agilent 8350B Sweeper w/83595A.01-26.5GHz Module This is a nice functional sweeper/module combo. There are some scratches on the sweeper module. But beyond that it looks like it has seen a lifetime of bench use, not abuse. Sorry about the pictures. They look pirated but are actually of the actual items for sale. My cameras batteries died so I pulled the out of a video I made. It looks like any other one of these only there definitely are scratches on the front of the plug in, these scratches to not show up in one photo. IF the ears of my spectrum analyzer fit it, I’ll put them on to help protect the front face of this for travel. The 8350B Sweeper is in pretty descent shape. It appears to be 100% functional. I typically use it for CW. I’ve used it for sweeping but really just playing with it(many of the input/outputs I have not used) Everything ... moreseems good but I’m not what you would call a particularly knowledgeable user. So glean what you can from my description. I replaced the nicad battery for cmos back up with nimh batteries. This works fine but these batteries are trickle charged only when the unit is running. So given a few days(or… turned off. And you will loose your memory. Not a big deal, no calibration constants, just setups. Vastly better batteries than back in the day. The 83595A module itself does not have better attenuator option(002 I think) But has a higher output level because of this. It does have an issue that sometimes the amplitude knob(an optical encoder) only works in one direction, on occasion it does work however; these are repairable and the same encoders are used on the modules as the mainframes. For me this was not an issue as you can set amplitudes with the keyboard and/or step keys. The filter control does work but you can only see it with a spectrum analyzer. If your not familiar with this equipment. The optical encoder controls are smooth and high quality, the push button controls not so much. The plastic is simply getting old. Precision synthesized signal generator ideally suited for testing a wide range of RF components from Receivers to filters. Amplifiers, and mixers, etc. This equipment is serial number 3855017 which provides RF output and AM/FM Modulation Input both internal and external on the front panel. I have checked the unit out with my personnel Rubidium controlled Counter. Oscilloscope, and Spectrum Analyzer and it is a lab grade functional unit as depicted in the pictures. This ancillary equipment is depicted only to show the Synthesizer output and not included in this sale. The Synthesizer has a carrier frequency range of 100 KHz to 1050 MHz with a frequency resolution of 10 ... moreHz. Its output amplitude is leveled and variable from +13 to-127 dBm in 0.1 dB steps. AM and/or FM functions can be individually selected via the internal 400 Hz or 1 KHz internal oscillators or via an external oscillator. The carrier frequency. Output amplitude and modulation functions are programed via front panel pushbutton keys. The programed values of Modulation, Frequency and Amplitude are displayed in the three display fields. MODEL. FEATURES, CONDITION: Very clean example of the Heathkit Model IG-102 RF Signal Generator will prove to be a valuable instrument to have when aligning radios. Etc where you can switch in the on-board modulation circuit or externally modulate a signal on top of the RF signal. RF sine signal is adjustable from 320 KHz all the way up to 110 MHz in six adjustable steps. Smoothly geared tuning condenser has great stability, and the dial pointer is accurate, closely matching the proper frequency calibrations. Photos of the electronics will show that this unit has seen very light use with no discolored or heat stressed components. To ensure reliability, the old 22uF electrolytics were replaced with new ones rated at 200V. Pots and switches have been properly cleaned and work well; the band selector switch is somewhat stiff, but does engage ... moreat each stop. The odd obsolete connectors that this unit came with were replaced with more modern BNC bulkhead connectors that will allow much more flexibility with today’s test equipment, cables and adapters. The unit has been tested, and the sine waves are clean without distortion, and maintain good amplitude throughout the frequency ranges, switches and pots work as they should. Modulation circuit works as well, and it was interesting to have a radio nearby to listen to the beat note and whistling as the IF and RF frequencies were being matched. Cosmetics are excellent if you can pardon a very minor paint chip on the back panel shown in one photo. No dents in cabinet, front panel graphics look excellent, knobs look factory fresh, and finish is holding up beautifully. Power cord is safe and pliable, ruby jeweled pilot light is bright. All in all, hard to go wrong with the beauty of Heathkit that allows the average guy with a soldering iron to service his own equipment a hundred years from now. This is an all analog generator and is actually made of two components, a power supply unit/ amplifier(APS-101) and a sine wave source(OSC-100) both made by Thornton Associates Inc. in Waltham, MA. This came from a lab environment, where it was upgraded to a digital generator. Controls are high/low and frequency adjust on the sine wave generator, and gain and DC offset on the amplifier section. Output is single-ended via banana jacks. I've verified that it does work though all of the settings. See the 10 kHz output waveform. Output is very stable. This is Heathkit IG-72 Audio Generator. It is in mostly-working condition. But it is unstable at some frequencies. It could use some more cleaning of the switches and controls and probably a replacement of some of the electrolytic capacitors, particularly C8, the feedback capacitor. The fact that it works as it does shows that the tubes are in good condition. It is in very good cosmetic condition. The only defect being a ding in the back and bottom of the case. There is no manual. But copies are available on-line, or I can e-mail the successful bidder a copy on request. Note that the IG-72 is just a cosmetic re-working of the AG-9A. The two are electrically identical. The IG-72 manual does have a detailed schematic of the"Notch Filter Circuit" the resistors and capacitors that set the frequency) whereas the AG-9A manual did not. ... moreThe last image is a FFT of the output at 1KHz. The value of this cap is not critical as long as it's a low impedance at all frequencies of interest, so using a larger value is OK.

HP Agilent 8657B Signal Generator 100 kHz-2060 MHz: Opt 001 + Opt 003 -Tested OK
Unit is in an excellent working condition. Cosmetically it shows reasonable amount of wear and tear, no major problems, a few superficial scratches on various surfaces, see photos for details. HP quality built generator with internal/ external AM. FM. This unit has built-in options 001- high stability time base option( 1 x 10 to-9 in 45 days) and 003 Pulse modulation option. The specifications are given up to + 7dBm output in the range of 100 kHz to 2060 MHz. However the amplitude can be over ranged to + 17dBm and frequency down ranged to 10 kHz, with specifications moving out of tolerances toward the limits. I tested the functionality of this unit- passed all the tests OK. I tested specifications within the limits of my test equipment; my performance check was limited to the range of 1 GHz, all the tests I could do the results were within ... moretolerances. All the controls are performing correctly, there was no stick buttons or any other problem. The self tests pass OK, back up battery is functional. The serial number of the unit is: 3315U04212. Operating voltage 100- 240 V AC. 48 to 440 Hz. The item ships from Canada. And is fairly heavy( around 50 lbs/ 25 kg) The flat rate shipping to Canada would be $ 90; and to US $ 120.
