Up for bids is a used and Triplett Oscilloscope manufactured by the Triplett Instrument Co in Bluffton Ohio around or about 1948 or so. Unit appears to be in good condition with acceptable usage and wear marks. The unit was not fully tested but given a detailed inspection. I plugged in the unit and switched it on. The power light came on and it did not blow my garage circuit. A little bit of paint is chipping around the front of the unit. The lens that covers the small meter on front is in tact with no scratches or cracks. The carrying strap on top is in great condition. No burns or burn smells. All of the buttons and knobs are in good working order and lines up properly with the settings. I did not open the unit for a tube check. Looks like the unit ... morehas never been opened. Operating manual. Probes and test leads are not included. The original cost back in 1948 was around or about $154.00. Unit has the serial number of“2483” I'm sure it would make a great piece for any vintage electrical test equipment collection. Additional Info: This unit covers frequencies from 100KHz to 120MHz in ten bands. It features internal modulation at 60 or 400 Hz. Or external modulation. I have been using this device for about 1 year and it has worked perfectly. If you want to do work on FM Tuners this is a brilliant all in one device for generating clean FM signals. Physically it is very clean with a bright white front. It is guaranteed to power on and provide both a mono and stereo output. The internal audio generator works as well and it can accept inputs from external audio generators as well which I have tested. It comes with no cables other than a power cable.
