Vintage Eico Multi-Signal Tester. We purchased this from a gentleman that ran a local RCA Zenith Victor Dealership and Repair shop for over 40 years. He was closing down and we thought someone would love to have this for their collection or to use for testing. The condition is as follows and same as written above: This is a used Vintage signal tester. The outside of the tester box has a few scratches and blemishes other than that the box and exterior components appear to be in good working order. The cord is original and appears to be in working order. The probe and probe cord also appear to be in good working order. The unit was turned on and the light came on. I do not have anything to test it with but it powered up. The gain has a little bit of static in it when turned up or down but that could be do to sitting for a period of time. EICO Signal Tracer Model# 147A) Hello! and thank you for looking at my item. Up for bids is a used signal tracer manufactured by Eico. The unit has not been fully tested however it was given a detailed inspection. The unit was plugged in and it does power up. The light meter/ tube on the front comes on. Two probes are included but will need some work. All three tubes are present(1- 6X4. 1-6AQ5 and 1-12AX7) The 6X4 and 12AX7 tested strong. The 6AQ5 was weak. I replaced it with a strong tested tube. All 3 tubes tests strong. All of the dials and buttons moves smoothly and lines up properly with required settings. There are no burn marks or smells emitting from the unit. There is some minor surface rust on unit. Excellent edition to any vintage radio collector and or radio/component repairer. EICO Multi - Signal Tracer Model 145 with Instruction Manual & 2 Test Probes
Up for bid is a used EICO Multi-Signal Tracer Model 145. The unit looks to be complete and is in nice overall condition. There has been some modifications made(not by me) to the unit- 2 jacks were added and wired in parallel with the existing Input and Output ports allowing test cables with either chassis or pin connector to be used. Also what looks to be another volume control was added and can be used with the existing gain control to obtain the volume you like. The power cord and plug have been replaced. Includes a COPY of the Instruction Manuals which contains a schematic and parts list and 1 RF cable with a chassis plug and 1 AF cable with pin connection. The cables were made according to manual specs. When a signal was applied to the input it could be heard from the speaker with either cable and either port. It uses 5 tubes: 6SJ7, 6SQ7, 6K6, 1629, and 6X5. It is 8” H x 10” W x 4 ¾” D and weighs 11 pounds. The eye tube(1629) and the unit itself work. It comes with probes, the original Construction Manual and the original Instruction Manual(see pictures) The Tracer will be packaged quite well with adequate buffering and stability so as to minimize any possibility of breakage during shipment. DESCRIPTION Here is a very nice EICO 147 A Signal Tracer. It comes with the audio probe. But I don't have the RF probe for it. Also included is a copy of the manual. Switches, knobs and speaker are all very good. Output transformer works fine and can be used to test a tube amp's output stage. Wattmeter works and is moderately accurate above 40W. This is a fine example of vintage test equipment that you can use in your shop. This signal tracer uses the following vacuum tubes: 6X4. 12AX7& 6AQ5. All of the tubes test very strong with no shorts. I measured the B+ supply at 330V and everything looks like it's working.The eye tube doesn't have the greatest contrast, but is readily readable. This 147 A is in overall good to very good condition- see pictures. There is one tiny chip on the red AF probe jack. EICO MODEL 145A SIGNAL TRACER- NOT WORKING* I utilized a BK RF Signal Generator to test this equipment. While the unit powered up and it picked up 60 cycle hum on the RF probe. It didn't do anything when I touched the output of the Signal Generator. I was expecting some type of audio tone. As a result. I'm selling"For Parts- Not fully Functional" Sold as pictured. An RF probe is included but I'm not sure if it is working. When I applied a signal to the input using the test probe, the signal could be heard at the speaker and the sound increased as the gain increased. This auction is for a Vintage Eico 147 Signal Tracer With Magic Eye Tube. This unit was tested using a microphone and the eye tube works well and sound came through the speaker. That was the only testing that I was able to do but I am sure all the other functions work as well. Physically the unit has some light scratches and wear but no dings. Breaks, ect.
