I received it as part of a large lot of used Amateur Radio and electronic test equipment, including other pieces of this Blue-cased series of Heathkit test equipment, which will be listed in separate auctions. It appears to be in very good condition but is not tested and it is sold as-is- it may need recalibration or other maintenance performed. It requires two- 9V batteries or an AC adapter for power(not supplied) A copy of the assembly/instruction manual is included. The IG-5280 Signal Generator has a built-in 1000 Hz audio tone generator. Harris Power Signal Generator Tone generator analogue oscillator synth?
Bought this a couple of years ago and never got round to using it. I bought it to use as a simple wave generator for making music a la Delia Derbyshire and the Radiophonic Workshop. 8 ohm speaker outputs and 8k ohm signal outputs. Both on banana plugs I believe but I'm not an expert so I cannot be sure. I've had a look inside and it's high quality components in there- I would have thought it was made in the UK, probably in the 80s. It is untested but I bought it as working.
