SquareTrade © AP6.0 This is a nice EICO Model 324 Signal Generator with a copy of the manual. Schematics and probe. It has a copper chassis. There have been no modifications made externally to the original kit. The signal generator puts out a modulated or unmodulated rf signal from 150 KHz to 435 MHz. and is accurate and stable for normal radio repair work. I've checked frequencies up to 30MHz with my digital receiver and they were all fairly close reading off the dial. Should you need accuracy, then couple in a frequency meter or zero beat using a digital receiver. The signal generator provides an approx. 400 cps audio tone that can be selected or an external audio signal can be used instead. All the filter electrolytics. Coupling and by-pass capacitors were replaced and any resistors out of tolerance were also replaced. The tubes ... morewere checked and both test good. The line cord is the original and is in good condition so it remains. All the knobs are original and all function properly. There is one dial lamp and that turns on. KNIGHT KG-686 RF SIGNAL GENERATOR WITH MODULATION METER HAM CB RADIO NICE UNIT
Up for sale we have a nice Knight model KG-686 RF signal generator. This is a nice heavy duty vintage unit in good operating condition. I just got done aligning the frequency ranges on it as they had drifted over the years a bit from the dial. Can output a straight RF signal as pictured on the oscilloscope or has a built in modulation selector where you can use the internal modulation or use external modulation. The modulated signal is the second oscilloscope picture. Front panel controls are pretty straight forward and is a very easy unit to use. Has a standard BNC 50 ohm output connection. Not banana jacks like many older units do. This is a fully solid state unit, not tube type. The only thing I had to do to it was install a new power jack in the back. The old one was broken. A modern socket has been installed and the unit comes with the ... morematching power cord. Overall this is a nice unit for the age and built like a tank, weighs darn near 14 pounds before packing. As you can see in the pictures the unit powers up and produces a wave form pattern. I am sure that's not calibrated and need fine tuning since it is well over 60 years old. Before anyone ask. You are bidding on the Hickok unit, the oscilloscope is not part of the deal. What you are getting is a vintage Hickok signal generator that does produce wave patterns. Unlike some you might buy that your not sure of what your getting. The only thing that I noticed on it that need attention was the slip coupling for changing the frequency is a little loose. This is a nice. Clean, Heathkit model# IG-102 RF Signal Generator. I received it as part of a large lot of used Amateur Radio and electronic test equipment. It appears to be in good condition and work okay, but because of its age it is sold as-is- it may need recalibration or other maintenance performed. The only testing I did was to select some frequencies on my ICOM IC-761 HF/Shortwave Receiver, and I was able to hear the output of this signal generator on the Receiver, as I turned the IG-102's frequency dial to match that of the Receiver. The IG-102 Signal Generator has a built-in 400-Hz audio tone generator. And it will also accept an external tone or modulation source, or provide output of the internal 400-Hz tone generator for use with other test equipment. Coarse and fine adjustments are available for the RF output signal, and ... morevariable level control for the internal tone generator. The only testing I did was to select some frequencies on my ICOM IC-761 HF/Shortwave Receiver, and I was able to hear the output of this signal generator on the Receiver, as I turned the SG-6's frequency dial to match that of the HF Receiver.
