Carl Zeiss Stage and Specimen Slide Holder Jena West Germany Part # 37 34 15
This item is being sold with NO RESERVE Up for auction is a Carl Zeiss stage and specimen holder built in West Germany(Part# 37 34 15) This stage was recently removed from one of our older microscopes that was being retired. The movement of the specimen holder along the Y-Axis is very smooth. The movement of the specimen holder along the X-Axis is smooth near the middle and all the way to the right of the stage. But it will not go completely over to the left side of the stage when using the adjustment knob. There is a small plastic plate with teeth along one edge, that is fastened under the stage by two screws(see close up pics of plate on and off of the stage) On this stage, several of the teeth on the plastic plate are damaged(see pic) which is why it won't move the specimen holder all the way to the left edge of the stage. We have ... moreused this stage(in the condition that it is in) for several years without any problems, because we always use standard size microscope slides, so there was never a reason to move the specimen holder away from the center of the stage, but you could always move the specimen holder manually if you did need to move it past the edge of the stage. Overall this is a very clean stage and it gets the job done. The other piece of the mechanism(gear) that moves the stage along the X-Axis is made out of steel. And it is still in perfect condition, so the only thing that would need to be done to make this stage 100% perfect would be to replace the plastic plate. Zeiss Microscope POL #66 Rotating 360° Graduated Stage w/ New Slide Clips
This is a Carl Zeiss Polarizing Microscope#66 Pol rotating and 360 degree graduated stage reading to 1/10 degree by either of two veneer scales. The stage is in very nice working condition. The stage has been professionally taken apart. Cleaned and relubricated. The fine knob rotation, as on all#66 Pol stages by Zeiss after this many years does not work as the internal bushing breaks down and disintegrates into crumbs. There are absolutely no replacements available. All broken down material has been removed. Cleaned and both ball bearing races have been cleaned and relubricated with Zeiss factory oil allowing the stage to otherwise work fine. The knob is really not important and I frankly never new any geologist who used it as it results in very slow stage rotation. The stage now rotates freely as it should with detent"click stops" ... moreevery 45 degrees and stage lock in any position as desired. Works great. Comes with four stage mounting screws for attachment to any standard Zeiss upright microscope and two new Zeiss made removable slide or thin section hold down clips. The Pol stage has been factory drilled and taped for adding mechanical stages as well as the Federoff Universal three or four axis stage. Mechanical Stage, built in slide holder, low coaxial controls Swift Five Series
This mechanical stage was removed from a Swift Five Series laboratory microscope. It is in great condition with smooth operation in both the X& Y direction. There are some small scuffs on stage surface from normal use(see photos) but this stage has a lot of life remaining. This stage may work for other models as well. The mounting screws(included) are 60 mm apart on center in the X-Direction and 20 mm apart on center in the Y-Direction.
