ABU Ambassadeur 5000 - 4 Screw (#450545)
You are bidding on a classic ABU Ambassadeur 5000 vintage reel. This was my Grandfather's and recently came across it while cleaning the basement. I am not a fisherman. Although it appears to be in excellent condition. The auction includes: Reel(4 screw with# 450545) leather case, owners manual, spare parts, oil container, and a small wrench. Not sure on the exact age, although based on a little research and the case(brass latch and crest) it is probably from the 1960's. I am confident that reel has not been used since the 1970's. I have not tested anything, with the excpetion of some quick back and forth, but seems very smooth. The interior lining of the case is beginning to seperate from the case itself. Wow. Up for auction Is this RARE Hardy Bros. 3 3/4" St George fly reel from Alnwick England. This is the rare 3 screw drum with ebonite handle and a really nice condition agate line loop that looks to have 4 small cracks. This model has the ribbed brass feet and the reel is marked J.S. for the famous Jimmy Smith who did Fly Reels from 1908 thru 1960 for hardy. This reel works great but there is a small repair done as seen in photos 6,7,8, but it does not affect the reel at all and it is a almost 80 years old. This is a must have for any collector and please ask questions the photos don't answer before the end of the sale and with payment being due 48 hours after winning! Haze or cleaning marks. Focus is smooth and tight. F-stop clicks are precise and definite and the iris blades are oil free, crisp and move freely. This is a very old 4 prong pocket screwdriver in a leather case that reads"SCREW LOOSE SIR? There is a working snap on the case. The stitches have come out on the left side seem of the case. Based on appearance and the way the metal was shaped and cut this is a 1930's or older item. Also ba se d on the fact that it was originally own ed by my grandfather. The rod is a Shakespeare Purist 6' 1 piece Wonderod with Carboloy guides. The rod is in good condition with the guides and wrapping all in good condition. The reel handle is also in good condition. This Audtion\BUY IT NOW is for ONE vintage Fender Rhodes Tine with the Tuning Spring and Screw. You have the choice of tine#2#3#4 or#5. They were removed from a working piano. I have ohmed each pickup and will do so again before I ship your order so you can rest assured that the pickup will work as they were intended. I use the 73 key number scheme to label my tines. Do not use the numbers that are stamped in the tone bars or keys to order your tines. The numbering schemes changed over the years as new products where introduced. The 73 was the first piano and the first numbering scheme used. When the 88 was introduced. The 73 scheme was used but eventually the 88 used its own numbering scheme. As I said, they are different for different years. You will be responsible for ordering the right numbered tine. BUT- For the 73 key piano. In the ... moreplaying position, counting the black and white keys from left to right, Key#1 = Tine#1, Key#73 = Tine#73. In other words, the key and tine are the same number. On the 88 key piano the first 7 tines are all considered#0. So, in the playing position, counting the keys from left to right, you subtract 7 from the key count to get the tine you need. Key#56- 7 = Tine#49. key 57 = tine 50) key 58 = tine 51)Key#86- 7 = Tine#79. key 87 = tine 80) key 88 = tine 81) OR- Middle C Is Tine Three Three. We can use pitch to find the tine(think MIDI standard) This will be the same on the Bass. 54, 73 and 88 key pianos. C4(middle C) is tine#33.
