It has attached a Karl Zeiss camera attachment that has an adjustable Zeiss eyepiece. There is a Polaroid Land Camera attached to the top of the Zeiss. I was told that there is a beam(light) splitter w/light on the microscope. The scope table has multiple micro adjustments possible for movement. This unit has been stored for many years. Could use a cleaning but still pretty clean. It appears all knobs and bulbs are in working order. Looks lightly used. I don't know if the Polaroid camera works as I have no film to test it. I was told it did work when stored. Overall it looks to be in very nice condition and very usable

E. Leitz New York Microscope Camera with Polaroid Back
Auction Wizard 2000 Listing Template- AW2KLOT#91 E. Leitz New York Microscope Camera with Polaroid Back This is a Polaroid 3.25 x 4.25 inch pack film photomicrographic camera. It was manufactured by E. Leitz USA when they were located in New York. The camera consists of a special cone with the Polaroid 405 back attached. The lower portion of the system includes the focusing telescope from the Mikas 35mm attachment camera that has been provided with a modified Pronto-Press rim-set shutter in a vibration-isolation mounting. A special relay optic was provided at the base of the cone for proper imaging at the film plane. The focusing telescope has a multiple frame format reticle. The outer frame of which closely approximates the Polaroid film(the original Micas was available with three different relay cones, the standard one being 1/3x, but 1/2x ... moreand 1x were offered as alternatives, hence the smaller format frames. The camera is in very fine condition. The shutter works at all speeds although it is a bit sluggish at the slower speeds. It also sounds like the re-cocking mechanism has a bit of a delay although it has not failed to function in my testing. The shutter would probably benefit from an overhaul. The inside of the film holder is very clean. But not pristine. There are places for two shutter releases. One release would be for the shutter(settings from 1/125 to 1 sec plus B and T) The second release attaches to the side of the Mikas housing and is used to swing out the beam-splitter so the entire light flux is directed to the film plane. Otherwise, half of the light remains directed to the focusing telescope ocular. This camera system would be more of interest for the Leitz collector I cannot imagine anyone using it for photography today. And I doubt if the film is still available. No ocular is included nor are there any cable releases. The ocular normally provided would have been a simple Periplan 10x. The ocular retaining ring/ tube clamp is present. Plugged in and the lights turn on, looks like it functions, I heard some clicks coming from the camera, but cannot guarantee functionality.
