Then disconotinued 3 1/2 H" x 3 1/4 W" Hard to find in this amazing color. Lots of uranium in them for a beautiful va seline glow under a black light. I feel a tiny flea bite or just the way the glass came off the mold, on the bottom rim. So tiny I almost missed it. Also underneath is a rough patch. Which must be from when it was taken out of the mold. On one candlestick holder at the top I did notice a ti ny crack on the inside of the glass but you have to really look for it. The'Wealdstone' range was made by Whitefriars glassworks for the London firm of Belgian importers J.C. Wuidart& Co. Circa 1931-1934. Pattern number: w.60. Polished out pontil mark on the base. Measures 20cm tall and diameter at widest point is 16cm. The glass is in good condition. With no chips or cracks. There are numerous. Very small scratches around the vase and a faint impact mark on the base, but I don't feel these detract from this rare, beautiful vase. Very Rare ~ PHOENIX GLASS CO. ~ Ruby Diamond Optic Cruet ~ Ca.1888
This is a rare and unusual early cruet in excellent condition. There is a little rough area where the handle meets the spout. Otherwise both the stopper and cruet are in near mint condition. It stands just about 5.5 inches tall including the stopper. It features an early smooth hand applied handle and a finely ground and polished pontil. Featured on page 105 of Phoenix Art Glass, An Identification and Value Guide by Leland Marple(2004) it is valued at $125-$175.00. It's a beauty and very hard to find. Listing for auction: 6 Depression Green 7& 1/2" Plates. Hex Optic"Honeycomb" Jeanette Glass Co. 1928-1932. Plates appear darker green when stacked, but when held up separately they are of a lighter green. Bought at an old estate sale. I examined closely and the only flaw I see Is 1 minute flea bite on I edge of 1 plate as shown in Photo# 3. Plates have a honeycomb or optic pattern around edge of plate. Up for auction is a beautiful Royal Silver Company Pickle Castor with a Stunning Cranberry Optic. Enameled Pickle jar, lid and figural bird, feet tongs. This Castor is 11" tall. It has a figural bird's head as a tong holder which matches the theme of the tongs. Over 100 years ago. This cranberry glass was hand blown by a Master Glass blower then the enameling was artistically hand painted by an artist specifically trained to do this, then kiln treated. The plating is in very. This highly desirable collectible, named for it's resemblance in color to a glass of cranberry juice is achieved by adding a gold chloride to hot molten red glass. It is a delicate blown glass and is made by both free-blown and mold-blown methods. The process is painstaking, requiring the skills of a master glass craftsman to execute successfully.
