It's in excellent overall condition, featuring early nickel construction throughout, clean prism, spotless diaphragm, and smooth focus, and it's fitted with a 3-point centering collar on top(for attaching to a microscope by means of a Leitz precision changing clutch, such as the example I've listed in another auction tonight) and a double spring catch below(for attaching objectives by means of Leitz quick-mount rings, and one is provided here) Used many years ago in the geology department of the University of California in Berkeley, and still usable today. All parts work fine including the main light bulb. It uses 110 VAC The arm is adjustable and moveable to aim the spot light just about anywhere. The chrome finish on the arm needs polishing. There was an older and competent repair/replacement of the trinoc lever. It works just fine. It is missing the back Meiji emblem. There is one missing screw for the post collar that supports the focus holder, you can replace it if you like but everything functions fine without it. The microscope system is clean, tested and ready for immediate use but cosmetically not perfect and is sold"as is" no returns, no refunds, no exchanges.
