Olympus Microscope KHC Mechanical Stage and focus holder
For sale is a Olympus stage. I believe it is a KHC stage but I know very little about this. The knobs that controls the X/Y range of movement are crooked and though the mechanics still work they are not smooth. It is still totally functional as-is. It just isn't working like new. I don't know how easy this sort of thing is to fix/align. Stage has a few minor scratches/marks that you usually see with used pieces of equipment. Nothing major. It has a focus holder mount on it(I think that is what it is called. Please look at the pictures) I know nothing about it and see no markings on it. The mechanics on it seem to work fine. These were kept in the lab as spares on a complete Olympus spare dual head setup. last photo shows the spare head in the green gas sterilization bag. As this is where these came from. These are some of the nicest very seldom used Olympus used eyepieces I have seen in a long while. They are in pristine condition and look like new. These eyepieces fit standard 23mm tubes. The microscope and other parts shown in the last photo are to give the buyer some idea of what parts I am going to be selling here soon. This ... moreis a example of how these can also be used in Microphotography: The WK 10X/20L-H eyepiece is for the right side of the binocular head and can be focused by itself. There is a very small screw(correct name is"Eyetube Locater Tab" sticking out of the barrel that engages in a slot in the eyepiece receiver tube. The slot and screw serve to hold the barrel fixed while the upper portion is twisted to achieve focus. It's quite handy to help get a camera on the trinocular head par-focal with the eyepieces. Focus on the specimen using the camera. Then use the right-H eyepiece to match focus. After the right eyepiece is focused you can then focus the left eyepiece in the normal manner and all will be par-focal. If you plan on using live view, or the camera mount itself can be focused, it really isn't necessary, but it's nice anyway. FINAL NOTE to users: For users that take apart the WK 10X/20L-H eyepiece to clean the ocular lens or maybe lubricate the focusing threads please remember to screw it back together softly and do not force the threads.
