There are a couple of places where the steel is slightly tarnished and slide holders are a little bent from years of use. There is also some very minor corrosion on them as well. The piece comes with several accessories such as two sets of eye pieces, the original tool to loosen the scope, to swivel on its base and the original bottle of oil to lube it's parts.All this and more is wrapped up in a timeless handcrafted wood box with lock and key. I am guessing that the use for this apparatus was to take pictures of f microscope slides. It obviously was to be bolted to a st aging area and the n looked tho ugh. It is were placed o ver the table o f a microscope. And a light were shone up through a slide under the assembly, it would show a magnified view of the slide in the top eyepiece. Placing a camera over the lens, one could then take pictures of the magnified slide. The complete assembly has a screw on top lens. Over a barrel lens. The item is 3 7/8" tall. Bausch& Lomb 32mm.010, and Hertel& Reuss Kassel 45:L NA.0.65 f=4. In what I would call VG used condition, made mostly of painted brass, everything turns/moves/rotates/adjusts fine including eyepieces width adjustment, it looks like the mirror is missing but the focusing lens and adjustable iris is here and works fine,and I am not sure of the condition of the optics, though the lenses are somewhat dirty. This however does NOT prevent it from focusing properly. All the knobs turn smoothly and without any problems. This is a used Diagnostic Instruments HRD060 NIK 0.60X Coupler for attaching a digital camera with a Nikon“F” bayonet mount to a microscope. It is in excellent condition. The mount(top) end has a twist style parfocalizing adjustment with a travel of 10 mm that can be locked in place via a setscrew. With this adjustment retracted fully. The overall length of the coupler is 150 mm. It weighs 1 lb. 9 oz. The image diameter is 19 mm. The bottom end has an outside diameter of 23.1 mm. So it can plug into the eyepiece socket on some microscopes. The middle has an an outside diameter of 37.4 mm, so it can plug into the phototube of some microscopes.
