The microscope assembly it's mounted on has a Carl Zeiss 4662695 eyepiece with a filter holder, what appears to be a light source, and a cylinder containing a sliding mirror array that can be set to connect the light paths in various ways. There are two cables, one from the light source ending in a large coaxial connector and one from the camera shutter leading to a module with a button and a round 5-pin connector. This was from a working Zeiss Axiophot microscope system I had and now sold. The cables connect the controller to the camera head and the rear base of the stand. When you hit the expose button it kicks the lamp to correct voltage for exposure and then back down for viewing. Keep your microscope complete and functional with these items.
