Then it was definitely manufactured by the same company as made the microscope for Melles Griot. The machining is of the very highest quality– absolutely no play in the dovetail ways, and the rack& pinion focusing mechanism is exceptionally smooth. The extra large focus knob facilitates very fine adjustments. The prism housing inclines the monocular ocular tube at a 45 degree angle. The housing may be rotated about the axis of the microscope body for comfortable viewing position. The housing includes a spacer ring with RMS threads into which individual objectives may be threaded.
