VINTAGE Ernst LEITZ Wetzlar 3.5cm Objektiv FIXED FOCUS UNITS This item has been tested and works great! LATCHES ONTO LENS NICE AND SNUG! NO SLIPPING! As for signs of use on this item. There are definately some abvious ones(as seen in photos) The legs do have some noticeable dings/scratches, and the locking wheels for both the lens and legs show some signs use. Not they are scratched up or anything, but they do have some gunk in between the cracks. Nothing serious though. For how old this item is, ITS IN GREAT SHAPE!

Diameters about 20mm and 19mm at two ends, 26mm ouer diameter, length 13.5mm, lens weight 26g. This is a photomacrographic lens(Lupenobjektiv) that gives excellent two-dimensional depiction of flat surfaces, usually used without an ocular. RMS standard screw mount. 1949 Leitz Wetzlar stereo microscope. Made in Germany
Hello all. Up for bid is this excellent 1949 Leitz Wetzler stereo microscope. The serial number is 413552 which dates it to 1949. It is an intensely well made microscope to say the least. Of course it was made in Germany. All knobs and operation are smooth and seem precise to me. But I really do not know what half of the stuff is here. It may need to be cleaned and professionally taken care of. I do not know. It has the original box. But the leather handle broke off of it due to age. Easy to replace and the original is in the case. This microscope may be for collectors and/or users. It is a beauty. It has an electric light source but I have no clue how to place the light source so I could examine anything under the scope. I do not know if the electric light source is original to the microscope or some kind of addition. It has an extra box ... morewith 4 eye pieces(red box) and another box for holding glass slides that is empty but looks like it holds standard glass plates. The black tubes with lids are empty. I think they are for holding lenses. Not sure. Anyway. If you wish to contact me and can instruct me. I can then test the microscope further for your satisfaction. This is the way I found it. I live in Summerfield Florida and have set postage price to cover standard shipping to California. This I do to establish a ballpark shipping price.
