Up for sale is an Olympus 100x/1.25 S Plan oil immersion objective lens. This high magnification lens is great for examining the smallest features. Well suited for brightfield and DIC applications. This lens has the standard RMS threads and can be used on stands such as the BH-2, but also on other manufacturer's stands such as Leica, Nikon, and Zeiss. Zeiss Microscope Objective 100x /1,25 PH3 Oil immersion EXCELLENT !
Up for aution is a Phase Contrast Zeiss Microscope Objective 100x/1.25 Oel in Excellent condition. A complete examination of the optical system does not reveal any defects or delamination. The phase ring is sharp with excellent contrast and no deterioration. The tip has a spring loaded safety mechanism that by pressing down and turning clockwise locks the tip in a retracted position which happens to be how the objective was photographed. By turning the tip in a counter clockwise direction the spring loaded pops out to its maximum extension. A very nice Zeiss Objective identified by Zeiss 46 19 01-9904. No reserve!

American Optical 50X Plan Achro Oil Immersion Microscope Objective With Iris
This is an American Optical 50X Catalog#1016 Infinity-Corrected Oil Immersion microscope objective lens. With iris diaphragm. It has a very high numerical aperture value of 0.80. The lens is in excellent working and good cosmetic condition, and I have personally tested this objective on my own microscope. The second photo in the series shows a prepared slide of mouse cuboidal epithelium. The photo was taken with a digital camera and using this objective. You can see how sharp the image is, even out to the periphery of the field of view. The iris diaphragm allows this lens to be used for normal brightfield microscopy(iris fully open) or for dark field work(iris diaphragm closed down depending upon the microscope and dark field path in use) Here are some comments about this lens found on the Yahoo! You can also use the 100x objective and aren't limited to only using one objective. The diaphragm is partially closed down during darkfield microscopy in order to reduce the numerical aperture of the objective below the lower of the two numerical apertures inscribed on a darkfield condenser. The iris diaphragm is absolutely necessity for high numerical aperture oil immersion objectives(above N.A. 1.2) when using an oil immersion darkfield condenser. For ordinary brightfield observation. It works wonderfully well with 160mm TL microscopes from Nikon, Leitz, and Zeiss. The UV designation indicates that it is especially useful with afluorescent microscope however it gives outstanding images in the brightfield mode! It require a cover slip with a thickness of 0.17mm and has an nA of 1.30. This objective is equipped with an internal diaphragm which makes it very useful in the darkfield mode. It is in excellent condition with no dust, fungus, scratches, element separations or oil migration to interior elements. The diaphragm moves freely and is not contaminated with immersion oil.
