The cable diameter is 3/4(750) in diameter with a 1/2(500) light source end. I do not no how many fibers are in them, these items are from the mid 80's. I added the switches on top of the case to trigger the TRIACs and istalled two MATSUNAGA MT-105 pot switches never hooked them up. There is a rs232 connection as seen in pics that was used to turn the TRIACs on and off. I never had time to reverse engineer the top circuit board its a very simple design just never got around to it. There is scratches here and there on outside and inside. Vintage Flexible Fiber Optic Light Guide By American Optic Co Rare Early Tech!!
This auction is for a vintage flexible fiber optic light guide made by American Optics Company out of Southbridge Massachusetts. Formed in 1892 they were at one time the largest optical company in the world. From my research I baleive this item to be from the late 60's to early 70's. This item is in fantastic condition as you can see from the pictures. The last picture I put a lighter near the other end of the chord and you can see it still works perfectly fine.
