This is something that has been packed away for many years. I'm cleaning out my lab and I found this really cool Bausch& Lomb Filar Micrometer Eyepiece. It looks like it has never been used. The little Alan wrench is still sealed in the plastic. The yellowed directions were still in the box. I can't even remember getting it that's how old I am. I don't collect things anymore. I just hope some historic microscope buff picks this up. It works. I looked inside and the hair line moves when you turn the knob. Good Luck in the auction.

This is an older Carl Zeiss Aus Jena(Pre WWII) Filar Micrometer Measuring Eyepiece Ocular in excellent condition. Has a movable X with double vertical lines for precise measuring. The magnification is 15x allowing for more exact measuring as well. The internal scale is 8mm with the drum broken down to 1mm into 100 divisions. Movement is smooth and exact with no backlash. The eyepiece fits 25mm outside diameter tubes and 23mm inside diameter tubes. It clamps in place in axis desired. Optically it is clean and clear. Professionally checked. Cosmetically shows some minor rub on the end of the chrome plated brass drum but functionally inconsequential. Looks more to do with a removed ID than user wear. The 15x eyepiece threads in and out perfectly for a sharp X and measuring lines.
