This auction is for a GMR Triac light power supply with fiber optic flexible cables. And one side view light source with a lens. Also a mount for four fibers two of them have bend mirrors inside. This was remove from a optical video cmm inspection machine. The cable diameter is 3/4(750) in diameter with a 1/2(500) light source end. I do not no how many fibers are in them, these items are from the mid 80's. I added the switches on top of the case to trigger the TRIACs and istalled two MATSUNAGA MT-105 pot switches never hooked them up. There is a rs232 connection as seen in pics that was used to turn the TRIACs on and off. I never had time to reverse engineer the top circuit board its a very simple design just never got around to it. There is scratches here and there on outside and inside. Product Description The Volpi fiber optic illumination systems are among the finest produced. The Intralux 6000 was a top-of-the-line illuminator. It featured a three-position lamp intensity switch alternating between two direct connections to the transformer secondaries(no resistors in series for reducing intensity) The middle position switches off the mains supply. A very quiet cage fan is positioned immediately behind the lamp socket and provides very ample cooling even with the higher intensity selected. Additional regulation of the lamp output is possible using a helical wedge that reduced the amount of light to the end of the fiber bundle. A special dichroic heat filter is interposed between the lamp and the fiber bundle. In addition. There is a slot on the top of the unit for reception of special filter carriers. This is a pair of fiber optic illumination devices for some sort of measuring machine. One is well used and dirty. The other one is clean and neat. The plate on the well used one is 6 inch square with a 1/2 inch input. The plate on the nicer one is 3-1/2 by 4-1/2 inches with a 3/8 inch input. They may be used either for using a strong source like a flash tube or arc lamp into the cable to illuminate the plate, or in reverse by illuminating the plate with CCFLs, long strobe tubes, LED arrays etc for use as a microscope slide illuminator. These are very handy optics to have around. I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.
