Here is a front objective lens for an American Optical AO/Spencer Cycloptic Stereo microscope. These lenses are apochromatic. Indicating they are very highly corrected for both spherical and chromatic aberrations. The last photo in the listing is taken from a 1975 American Optical Catalog and provides you with an idea of the quality of these lenses. There is a small scratch on the front of the lens which does not affect functionality of the lens-see photos.

This is an American Optical AO Spencer Comparison Head for an American Optical Cycloptic Dissecting Microscope. The comparison head is an optical instrument consisting of prisms and beam splitters that allows for simultaneous viewing of two objects at the same time. So that they may be compared, one to the other. Since the Comparison Head has two independent objective lenses, each object may also be viewed individually, depending upon the position of a 3-position sliding switch built into the device. The potential uses of the Comparison Head are virtually limitless. This is a hinge bolt for an American Optical Cycloptic dissecting microscope. This is the bolt that secures the two prism housings(the parts which hold the eyepieces) to the Magni-Changer housing. This was removed from a working Cycloptic and all the original equipment washers are present.
