This auction is for one large condenser lens. These condenser lenses have been recently and carefully salvaged from 1950's and 1960's theatrical lighting instruments. They are 6" in diameter and are about 1 1/4 in. thick at the center. These lenses were cast from molten optical glass. Then ground and polished to specs for their intended use in professional Kleig and Source Four lighting instruments. They are able to withstand the high temperatures produced by 575 Watt bulbs. Some have subtle, yet beautiful swirls inside(called reams, in the glass industry) and some may have tiny bubbles, yet they still work well as optical magnifiers. Note: There was some dust on my scanner.the lenses are optically clear! Use them in your steampunk art projects. They are the ULTIMATE suncatcher! Check out this deal! This is a EXCELLENT VERY VERY CLEAN used OLYMPUS 1.25 condenser and a perfect working diaphragm aperture ready to go to work on your scope. It adjusts from.1-1.25 I just took it off my BH-2 series scope and it is still under its current inspection plus the optics are very very clear. Look how clean it is in the photos. The size is 60mm outside diameter(not including the knurled ring) and the bottom of the mounting flange where it rests on the mount is 53mm. The angle mount(for centering screws is 7mm thick. Therefore making the whole assembly top to bottom overall 60mm. see photos) This was only used in a professional research lab setting and always cared for professionally and serviced annually as required.
