Product Description Carl Zeiss Ikon microscope camera system This set consists of a microscope camera with splitter and eyepiece. And a control unit. The microscope camera has a shutter trigger, film advance, frame indicator, and ASA/DIN indicator dials. An extra film carrier for the camera is included. The microscope assembly it's mounted on has a Carl Zeiss 4662695 eyepiece with a filter holder, what appears to be a light source, and a cylinder containing a sliding mirror array that can be set to connect the light paths in various ways. The microscope connector at the bottom is 4.3 cm in diameter. There are two cables, one from the light source ending in a large coaxial connector and one from the camera shutter leading to a module with a button and a round 5-pin connector. The control unit takes 110V power(power cord is not included, but it's a standard type) It has A/B/T/O buttons, an exposure knob with settings from 1 to 8, and what appears to be a lamp intensity knob with settings from 1 to 10. How the unit was tested: A borrowed power cord was used to power the unit. When turned on. The control unit's indicator lights didn't come on. However, internal relays clicked when buttons were pressed and it operated the camera shutter, so it may be that the indicator lights are burned out. The light source didn't appear to be operable, and we couldn't figure out how to open it up to check why. The camera itself also thwarted our attempts to open it. This is a complete. Working Zeiss MC100 camera system. Recently, only bits and pieces,mainly of older equipment such as the MC80 and MC63, have been offered. This is your opportunity to get the last and best camera system offered by Zeiss. Included in this auction: Shutter body with integral lens. Two magazines Digital control unit. U.S. style 120V line cord. The MC100 is compatible with 220V by a rear panel switch. And it has an IEC chassis socket, but I regret I cannot supply a line cord for foreign requirements. These are available locally. Not included: photo eyepiece/relay lens. Normally. A 10X photo eyepiece is used, but an 8X is also usable. Although the S-KPL has the largest aperture, any KPL eyepiece with the traditional shoulder is compatible. High eyepoint eyepieces are not compatible. Thiis system is compatible with the Zeiss ... more160mm tube length series(Standard. Universal, Photomikroskop) and the Axio series. I do not have information on current Zeiss scopes. Your scope must be equipped with a trinocular head with the ISO phototube, and a photo eyepiece/relay lens. The camera body actually seats and is held vertically by the shoulder of the photo eyepiece, so it is essential that it be there. Attempting to mount the shutter body without a photo eyepiece in place would seriously damage the unit. I used this on my personal Zeiss Standard(pictured) which is not included in this auction. A 35mm frame provides the equivalent of a 36 megapixel image. The film can easily be scanned with a Canoscan 9000F flatbed. I regret that the proprietary nature of my work prohibits exhibition here. This system cannot be mounted to a typical consumer grade microscope without machine work that. Imho, is not practical.
