35mm film Microscope Camera with Shutter control
Available here is a Zeiss C-35 microscope camera with external shutter system. The camera body was manufactured in West Germany by Carl Zeiss for use with standard 35mm film(24x36 negative size) for use with photomicrographic apparatus. It has a manual film advance lever that is perfectly tight and functional after many years of use. But the handle of the rewind knob has broken off. It does not prevent use though it makes rewinding a bit slower. There is an exposure counter on the underside of the camera body which is conveniently located for most installations of the camera. Except for the broken unwind knob all the mechanics of the camera are perfectly functional and in excellent condition. As it is a microscope camera it has only a sliding shutter but is additionally fitted with an external shutter system also by Zeiss. The shutter features ... morean easily selectable range of exposure times(1. 2, 4, 8, 15, 30, 60, 125) as well as the manual modes T and B. There is a fitting for a standard shutter release cable to one side of the exposure control dial, and the body of the shutter has a fitting which would be compatible with the view finders and photomicrographic adapter tubes put out by Zeiss. The shutter speeds have been tested and confirmed accurate, and all of the components of the shutter system are in good working order. This is not a stand alone unit and will require the appropriate Zeiss accessories if it is to be used as intended.
