Fine Vintage SPENCER Brass Microscope with XY Mechanical Stage The microscope is in excellent+ condition with just a few very minor marks to the black enamel finish. The dark spots that appear on the brass hardware in the photos are reflections and not wear to the brass surface. The precision Spencer XY mechanical stage is in excellent condition. The microscope is equipped with the following Spencer brass objectives: HOM.IMM 1.8MM NA. 1.25: 95X 4MM NUM. APER. 0.66: 44X 16MM N.A. 0.25 10X All of the microscope and stage adjustments work smoothly and properly and all of the optics are clear and in excellent condition. The serial number is 109766.

WWII Leitz Wetzlar Ortholux Microscope 4 Obj Turret + Objectives Brass
This is an AMAZING set. Straight from Germany during WWII. This has a serial number of 360792, dating it to 1941-1945. It was owned by a doctor and medical school professor by the name of Ceelen. The microscope itself appears to be in excellent condition as it has very little cosmetic wear and no apparent damage. The electrical cord is a European model consisting of 3 prongs in a straight line, so I have no way to test this. If I need to go out and buy a travel converter, please let me know. Based on what I saw in the book(included) this appears to be for polarized light. The light source is at the back of the base. The light then shoots across the inside bottom and reflects up into where the slides go. This set comes with ALL KINDS of WWII era accessories including many different objectives. Some of which are brass and some of which are ... moreused for/with oil. As I'm sure you can tell by now, I am not a scientist of any kind and I don't really know that much about this item. All of the accessories appear to be in good, working order but this is used and some have normal use wear. Some heavier than others. This set includes the following, as far as I can describe: E. Leitz Wetzlar Ortholux Research Microscope with Four Objective Turret- Original manual/catalogue of accessories- Accessory: A 3-way piece of some kind that may be a single objective turret. On the side. Above the objective, there is another eyepiece. This comes in its original red, leather-bound case with clasp. Accessory: This is the piece in the light brown box. It has a telescoping 10x lens on one side and a clear lens on the other. There is a large silver dial on the side for adjusting. Accessory: This is a large. Cylindrical piece that appears to replace the 2-eye viewer with a single eye viewer. Accessory: Eye piece? This is a silver cylinder with lenses at each end.
