This auction is for a commemorative ceramic tile issued by the Fort Antes Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. This 1976 piece was issued as part of the bicentennial celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The tile depicts the Tiadaghton Elm on the banks of Pine Creek Pennsylvania where T he Fair Play Men signed their own Declaration of Independence from Britain on July 4. 1776. Ironically this tile was made by H&R Johnson, England. The tile has one tiny chip to the edge(shown in pic 2) otherwise in very good condition. Measures 6" x 6"

This piece was made circa 1960's at or near the start of the Cultural Revolution(1966-76) and decorated in Hong Kong. It is 9-3/8" in diameter and 1-13/16" deep. It has been well used for there are more than one ladle mark/chip inside. But there are no edge chips. Cracks or repairs. This was actually one of the first pieces of Oriental porcelain that I ever bought in the U.S. to had to my collection. The two soldiers appear to be the same person(perhaps showing a move in rank? The two soldier plaques measure roughly 13 1/2 inches long by 5 inches wide and 1/2 of an inch in depth. The larger eagle plaque measures roughly 14 1/2 inches long by 9 1/4 inches wide and 1/2 of an inch in depth. Each wood plaque is has a lacquered finish. The images appear to be a transferred decal of some kind. The overall physical condition of all 3 plaques is very good. There are some normal wear marks throughout from use and age. I am unaware when these were manufactured but guess the 1970's?
