From my mothers estate.you are bidding on a vintage 1950s Couture House of Bianchi(New York-Boston) cocktail length silk/beaded wedding dress. Approximate measurements: Waist- 26 inches Bust- 30 inches Skirt Length- 24 inches Top to waist length- 10 1/4 inches Back length- 32 1/2 inches The dress has one tiny stain on the sash(see photo) as well as a few water type stains around the hem(again see photograph) These well may come out in the dry cleaning process. The zipper is in working order and I see no rips or tears or problems with the beading. The color was/is an ivory.but it may have yellowed with age.again this may come out in a cleaning process. I recused this dress. When I purchased the overall color was a light brown. After soaking for about a day to day and a half this emerged. Has cap sleeves. Flower trimmed lace neckline, gathered waist skirt with three layers. The overskirt is a sheer lace that has 28 attached flowers on a vine pattern lace. This is over a tulle middle layer with a white lining underneath that The back buttons with 36 buttons giving the bodice a fitted corset effect. It also comes with sheer glove/sleeves. Color/Pattern: White. Fabric Content: unknown. Several different types. Lace, crepe, and nylon/synthetic lining. Condition: Very good considering it was the brown shade ... moreof color that remains on the buttons when I started with the soaking. It probably could use a trip to the cleaners to see if the buttons can be brought back to white or maybe just more time soaking in Oxyclean. If not. This vintage lace wedding dress has a high collar and long sleeves that are longer on the front. Forming a point over the top of the hand. The bodice is straight and gradually flares out for the skirt below the hips. Sequins go around part of clusters of pearls on the top of the dress, there are no more sequins or pearls when the skirt is attached and flares. The sequins are discolored with age but in reality they are not as yellow as the photographs make them appear. They can be easily removed from the dress and the dress either worn without sequins or new ones put on to replace the discolored ones if you choose to do so. The sequins currently on the dress are based on in sets/strings not individually. Here are some measurements: slip- bust 35" Hips 38" dress- 26" from shoulder seam to point of lace, back neck seam to hem ... more60" under arm seam across back 19" shoulder neck seam to arm hole seam 5" The slip has 17.5" slits on either side to make walking easy. 1950's White Slip With Tags! Size 38 Lace top and hem Fray Pruf Nylon Mid Length
This is a mid length slip from the 1950's. My parents married in 1951 and this slip. Along with many others, was a bridal shower gift to my mother. She received several slips, many of which she never wore. This was one that she did not wear and it has been stored away all of these years and remains in Excellent Condition. The price tag from the H&S Pogue Co. Department Store is still on the slip. The only other tag on the slip is on the inside. It reads"Fray-Pruf Nylon 38" The slip is white(or slightly off-whi te) There is lace along the top and the hemline. The straps are adjustable. Cykxtees Black & Purple Color Changing Full Length Hooded Cloak
This is a really cool Cloak made by the Gothic clothing company Cykxtees. I have seen a lot of their dresses and such but not many of their cloaks so I have held onto this for many many years. So I would say this is a vintage piece. It is very long, from shoulder to hem approx 53 inches. It has a full draped hood as you can see in the pictures and on the back there is a cool looking cross. The fabric is a thinner material, kind of a poly blend that swishes when you walk. It also looks crinkly, which is not from storage, it actually came looking that way and I think it is to enhance the deep purple black iridescence of the color of the cloak. It is the perfect cloak for summer or when you are inside and want to make a statement. I have way too many cloaks and opera coats right now and since I am thinning out my closet I figured I could give ... morethis one up. It is in perfect condition.
