Elephant PEZ dispenser no feet without feet footless
Vintage Elephant PEZ dispenser with not feet in good used condition with wear to it. The stem is marked 2.6 and was made in Austria. His hat is missing and his head is floppy. The head has some minor wear around the ears and nose. There is a small mark on his left ear. Either a possible melt mark or just they way it was made. There is also a crack on the along the front curved part of the inside sleeve. The outside of the dispenser(the blue part does NOT have any cracks or melt marks. Awesome industrial table came out of a very old foundry at NCSU in the 1970s. My dad rescued this piece before industrial was cool. The top has some mixed media paint. Scratches, on it. And do not accept returns of textiles which have been laundered in any manner. Even dry cleaning is too much for some of these antique textiles. For some of them, a very gentle HAND washing(NEVER MACHINE, on any setting) in cool water with a very gentle detergent works, but even then, dyes may not be colorfast, and fabric may be less strong than it appears. Additional Information: A superb appliqued woman's skirt from the Kuba! This large raffia skirt is a multi-panel skirt ... morethat was worn wrapped multiple times around the waist. By the Kuba women in the Kuba Kingdom, which is in the Democratic Republic of Congo, formerly Zaire. This is a great piece of textile made by both men and women. Men did the weaving, women did the dying and embroidery. Raffia, which comes from the raffia palm tree, is notoriously difficult to work with. Soaking and pounding were both used to soften the fibers. Each piece took months to make. Matisse was hugely influenced by these textiles, and had a number of them in his bedroom! It is obviously not a mask neither a headdres. This figure had served as a protective shrine figure. For many different societies in West Africa the crocodile plays an important role symbolically serving as an intermediary between this world and the underworld and as a power symbol. The crocodileâs worn surface and the remains of an insectâs husk in small places indicates some age and a long exposure to the elements. The Baule are members of the Akan peoples. Who inhabit Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. During the 18th century, the Baule people migrated westward from Ghana when the Asante rose to power. The story of how they managed to break away from them has been preserved in their oral traditions.
