I believe it is a"Model B" This is a"PROJECT" item, but it would be well worth any time and effort put into it! As you can see. It has cosmetic wear and the cord is in bad shape. I did risk plugging it in and it does power on. It makes a"clacking" noise when powered on.don't know if it should do that or not. Not all of the keys will completely strike and with the ones that do strike, the carriage doesn't always advance. There is no ribbon. The keys, once cleaned up would be very pretty.they are a dark, intense blue.except for the two bottom keys and they are brown. My husband purchased this item from Office Supply Corp. in Hagerstown. MD in the 1970s. The salesman told him it originated in the American Embassy in Paris. At that time it was a combination typerwiter/telex. IBM brought it back to the US and repurposed it as a typewriter only and then sold it to the retail market. We were surprised that it does not turn on. It has been sitting in our office for 10 years and never turned on. Cover- no damage. Royal KMM typewriter. It has the Magic Margin. The glass-topped keys, and a little wheel on the right side with numbers that turns. I don't know what model it is exactly. There is some notation on the back in silver ink but it is illegible. I believe this model was made in the 1940s and maybe also in the late 1930s. The machine was working recently. Needs a new ribbon, maybe, and someone who knows how to maintain it. Purchase includes optional bonus Underwood portable with wide carriage-see second picture. Addressograph Graphotype Model 350. I have seen these called a T350 and TT350. I do not know if there is a difference. WYSIWYG. This in an EMBOSSING TYPE VERSION which to my understanding is a RARE FIND compared to the debossing models. Text on the embossed plates is RAISED(like a credit card number) as opposed to the more common debossed(pressed down text) models. See photos. The machine appears to be operational. Carriage properly spaces one space at a time with each actuation of the embossing handle. A partial stroke of the operating handle will space the carriage without embossing a character. The operating mechanism works smoothly. The lever on the rear left will also release the carriage sideways and/or provide single spaces if desired. The lever on the left front releases the in/out position of the plate. The upper punch of the"BLANK" ... moreand"c/o" letter dies are missing. All other fonts are in place. What is the purpose of a"BLANK" and"c/o" anyway? The handle on the letter carriage slide was repaired and appears to be quite sturdy. I did not want to hide the fact that it was repaired. Be sure to view ALL 12 PHOTOS of this item. The sample plate shown was embossed and photographed on 21 JUNE 2013. This classic machine will be carefully packed for UPS shipping. So for most of the time I have had this, it has sat in deep box storage. After the first few years I basically forgot about it and just held on to it just in case some need for it arose. Because of its overall light use and nearly undisturbed storage life. The unit looks to me still in overall good condition. For the purpose of preparing this listing I turned it on and typed one line as a test. This test was successful but the type looked a bit faded, so I recommend getting a new ink ribbon. However, I cannot guarantee that all parts are actually still in a functional state after so many years. So please use at your own risk. Recommended as a weekend restoration project. For replacement parts, as reference material, and for retro typewriter/Panasonic enthusiasts and/or vintage hardware collectors. This is a vintage Sears Best Medalist Electric Typewriter that as you see is in good condition for the age. Model number is 87153350 and it's an S6LJ. This is from an estate. I did try it and it powers up just fine and the ribbon has some ink but not much. All the keys i tried worked. NOT am expert on these but did confirm that it does power up and seems to work.
