Which allows the typewriter to be used as a computer PRINTER(text only) when connected to a computer* This typewriter is full-featured: Auto-correction. Centering, ability to change font pitch/line spacing/margins. The typewriter keeps the last two lines of text in memory(max 254 characters per line) and can auto-correct any character on those two lines. Characters outside the typewriter's memory are corrected by manually selecting the character to be erased. Erasures are performed with dry, lift-off tape. I don't know much about word processors and have never used one. That being said when this is plugged in. The power on, and screen up. It seems to type on the screen. Again, not really sure how to use this but the manual is included although I just glanced at it. It is dirty and dusty. But the cover latches fine and the cord/plugs look good. There may be other scratches/marks as well. This is being sold as is and untested. Although it seems to work just fine. I cannot guarantee that it is in 100% working order and any bidders should understand that. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to read the manual in detail and mess with it. Braille typewriter, from the Perkins School for the blind. It was manufactured by Howe Memorial Press and designed by David Abraham.comes with the original cover. Originally invented in 1951 the Perkins Brailler is the most widely used Braille writing machine in the world for those who are blind or vision impaired. Works Great! I just checked the Brailler and I set the carriage all the way to the left and began typing a character. It continued all the way across the page and after 35 characters. It"dinged" the bell and then continued to 41 characters on the extreme right side of the page. So my guess would be that it does 39-41 characters per line. the first and last characters may be too ... moreclose to the edge of the page, but then again, maybe not. I hope that this helps. About 1/3 of the time. The carriage moves slowly across the page and so I'm sure that you will want to clean and or lube it up properly for quicker operation.
