This auction is for one(1) green IBM Selectric II typewriter and the following: original owner's manual two new ribbons and one in the machine three correcting tapes original black IBM vinyl case-some holes/tears due to age Courier 10 ball. All of the Ebay photos are of the actual typewriter and items included in the auction. Please note that I have checked the basic operation of the machine and typed a few lines. Given the age of the unit I would recommend basic maintenance/service be provided if you intend to use for a major project. I am not an expert on this typewriter so I am selling this as-is. IBM Selectric ll Self Correcting Typewriter
This is a vintage IBM Selectric ll Self Correcting typewriter. It has an old ribbon in it and it is dried out and will need to be replaced. I tried all the functions I could think of and everything works. The machine had labels on it and I removed them and in the process removed a few small sections of paint. I should have left them on but they were curling up at the edges so I removed them. There is a tiny crack shown in photo three. It's right where the top edge and side edge meet. You should be able to see it with the mouse over feature. This thing sat in a barn for two decades and although all the functions seem to work fine. It could probably use an internal cleaning and lubrication of the moving parts. It has a Prestige 10(Pica 72) typing ball in the machine. It is heavy but I will put a lot of padding in the box. Is is in very good condition with a couple of flaws to mention: a number written on the inside of the front cover and a bit of lightening or fading to one of the corners of the back cover.
