The original punched card registration card indicates that this is a model 6LEA- it is a 12 characters per inch"elite" type model. This unit has two user-changeable keys should you need special characters. Accents, etc. I am the only owner of this very nice typewriter. My folks bought it for me new when I went to college. Of course. I ended up in engineering, with very few term papers. Although I did indeed use this typewriter, I very much doubt it has more than 50 to 100 hours of total time on it, as I wrote fewer than 10 papers with it. As an indicator of how lightly used this unit is, the included cartridges are ... morethe only ones I ever bought- I never used one up! In the years after graduation, it came in handy occasionally for forms and notes, but no significant use. It has been sleeping quietly in my closet for years now. This is a 1977 Vintage Smith-Corona Coronet Cartridge 12 Coronamatic model electric typewriter. It comes with a hard body plastic carrying case. Coronamatic ink ribbon cartridge, and an Instruction manual and original papers. It is in excellent condition and working order. All the keys and functions of the typewriter work beautifully and it does not show its age. The ribbon cartridge currently in the typewriter works well and should not need replacement soon.
