Thanks for looking! Here's a Smith Corona Spell-Right II XE5200 model 5PEA. In very good working condition, that I bought new in 1987. Not lightly used- I used this typewriter a lot- but not abused. It's heavy, it's tough, it's quiet, and it never gave me any trouble. It hasn't been used in quite awhile now, though. The photo with the typed line in the machine is legit. I typed it right before starting this listing. This machine has so many features I know I didn't use them all then. And I don't remember them all now. Here's some of what it will do: It corrects errors and then takes you back to where you were if need be. Has WordEraser, half spacing, 10 or 12 pitch, a 50,000 word dictionary, interchangeable print wheels, bold print, auto return, center and underscore, end of page alarm, and a 6,000 character ... morememory. You can edit stored text. Keyboard II has international characters. And that's not the half of it. This machine uses"H" series supplies, and the ribbon cartridges, correcting tape spools, and printwheels are all readily available. This comes with what's in the photos(please take a good close look) Typewriter with cover. Power cord, original Owner's Manual, a type style guide, and an order form that's probably not valid anymore but does provide original stock numbers. I don't have any extra supplies. Questions? This listing is for a vintage Smith Corona Spell Right II Electric Typewriter. Model XD 7000. It is used with some scratches and signs of wear as pictured. This unit is being sold AS IS. FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. It turned on when I first took it out of storage. And the carriage returned. However, since then, it will not power on. I have tried several different power cords so I don't think the cord is the problem. Maybe it's a blown fuse? But. I am definitely not a typewriter expert! The unit will ship with the original power cord. It also comes with its cover and the instruction manual. The handle and all hinges are in good working order. There is a Regency 10 print wheel in place. As well as a typewriter ribbon and correction tape in place(both partially used) In addition, the unit will come with a Regency 12 print wheel, one additional ... morepartially used Smith Corona H series ribbon tape, one additional partially used Smith Corona Life-Off Correcting Cassette. The typewriter measures approximately 17 1/2 x 16 x 16 inches with the cover on, and weighs almost 20 lbs. The unit saw only light use and has been stored in a cool, dry space for years. Vintage Smith Corona Portable Electronic Typewriter SD 250 Spell Right II WORKS!
This typewriter is in pretty good shape. The only flaws I see is that it could use some detailed cleaning. And when the cover is closed only one side snaps in. The other"snap" is broken. It still stays closed. It's just not as secure as it could be. Also, the one side of the holder pieces to hold the wire when closed is only half there, but it still holds the wire well, so this is nothing major. Please see pictures to see what I mean. I typed a message to show that it works. Sorry for the typo! Lol. I don't know how to use this to it's full potential, so I am not able to know if there are any potential problems. For that reason I am selling this as is. But from where I'm standing, it seems to be in great working condition!
