This functions as a normal electric typewriter but also has a standard serial interface to connect to a computer and use as a daisywheel printer. Bought this new and used it for several years until it developed a weird symptom where the carriage would not advance. Powers up but doesn't work properly. May just be a switch or something but I'm not an electrical tech so don't know how to fix it.
