Up for auction is a used Wheelwriter 3 that is in good physical condition. There are a couple scratches and scuff marks on the casing. But it is otherwise undamaged. For more information on the cosmetic condition please refer to the pictures below. We plugged this typewriter in and flipped the switch. We could easily start typing all the way across the roller. We could see that the keys where impacting the paper. But because of the dried ribbon nothing would show up.We feel that this typewriter is in working order, but will need the ribbon replaced before it can be used. Vintage IBM Wheelwriter 3 Electric Typewriter Typewriters
This is a very nice IBM Wheelwriter 3 electric typewriter. I believe it was manufactured in the mid 90s. I've done nothing to it besides basic power up and key presses. But all keys are responsive, tabbing works as it should, and the included daisy wheel spins and presses. It does not come with a ribbon cartridge, but those are fairly easy to come across. Dusty outside and interior, but I will attempt to clean that before shipping it. Besides the expected cosmetic blemishes from years of professional use, this machine is in good shape. As I have no ribbon I can't be certain the daisy wheel movement is correct, so that bit is"as is" I don't see any obvious issues with it, though.
