This machine has been cleaned. Serviced, lubricated and repaired as needed including a new 2 color ribbon! This typewriter works great as seen in the YouTube video at the end of this description. The serial number is 6EL0 119500 which doesn’t show up in the typewriter database but other research shows it was made in the 1960s. This machine is in very good condition. It does have some scratches on the outside of the machine as you can see in the photos. This is a very feature packed little machine! It has power return. Tab set, release on the keyboard, touch control beneath the front of the machine, copy set to properly set the type strength and lots more! It also has a carriage lock which is located on the right side of the machine right by the carriage. It will be shipped with that lock engaged. To unlock the carriage simply bush the chrome lever back towards the carriage. This machine has Elite sized type which is 12 characters per inch. This machine comes in the original brown plastic case. The case is in very good condition with only a few slight scratches and bumps on the outside. It has 2 latches on either side of the handle to open it. Those latches are lockable however we didn’t find a key for it. This machine measures 17” x 12 1/2” x 5” The case measures 18” x 15” x 6 1/2” The typewriter is made in the U.S.A. A great machine ready for you to type on! Thank You! A4 VINTAGE SCM Smith-Corona Electra 110 Portable Electric Typewriter with Black Hard Case and Original Key CONDITION: In good. Used, functional condition. This is a clean machine. It only took me 10 minutes to dust off the case. Wipe down the typewriter. I tested all of the keys and functions and they all work. Three of the keys are just a little slow to return but they type one letter at a time as they should. Cosmetically. It is in very good condition. The body of the typewriter has no dents or gouges- only a few scratches and some wear spots on the edges and corners. The cord has been spliced but does not get warm when using. The on-board motor works and is fairly quiet for this kind of typewriter. It is portable, but it weighs in at 24 pounds, so if you plan to take it for a walk you could get some cardio in while you are out!
