Land Pride model FDR 1648 mower deck in good condition. Used less than 10 hours. It was stored outside, so the gearbox has some rust on the outside. Blades cut okay but could use a sharpening, they have never been sharpened before so there is a lot of life in them still. Put it on the tractor today, and it works just fine, nice smooth cut. Fits 3 point hitch. Category 1. 48 inch cut. Rear discharge. Nice even cut because the mowing deck stays constant height above the ground on all four corners. Wife tells me we"downsizing" So we have to get rid it. Tractor not included! When you come to pick it up. You can try it out. And if you are not satisfied. We can cancel/refund then. It also comes with 2 extra blades and a set of belts. Parts like bearings, pullys etc are available from the larger Jinma parts dea;ers like farm pro and northern as well as many others. Up for auction is a John Deere No. 5 mounted sickle bar mower or also known as a caster-wheel power mower. This has the seven foot cutter bar. This mower is in good condition and works good. The only thing wrong is the one lower clamp that mounts to the tractor broke off as you can see in the picture. It is just mounted with a clevis pin so it can easily be replaced. It just has surface rust from being outside for the last three years. The pto drive shaft with slip clutch is all there. The transmission works great and the blade moves freely. The blade still seems sharp to the touch and has plenty of sharpening s left on it. It registers dead center at the end of each stroke and looks ready to use. The pit-man arm wood is soft but all there. I actually have brand new ones and will include one with the mower. This is a used antique or vintage ... moreitem so no warranties or returns. This is a great tool. In great condition. We have used it for a season on 100 acres of rock free hay ground. It is used to cut hay or clip grass at any height. For it is pitmanless. Both sickles move back and forth. Without guards, this sickle mower does not plug. It is German/Italian technology, and sickles are available in the US. Since both sickles cut, the stems of grass and alfalfal are cut clean instead of sheared, and we have seen proof of better regrowth in side by side trials with a swather. With a 9 foot bar. We cut 20 acres a day with horses, 40 acres a day with a tractor. A tractor runs at about idle to power this. The beauty of this machine is that it is actually a 3 pt. hitch implement that the Amish have mounted on a trailed platform. It is stable. Heavy duty. Again. We pull this both with a ground drive forecart and draft ... morehorses, and with a tractor. Because this heavy implement is mounted on a trailer, even a 20 hp pto garden tractor can pull this and knock down hay like the big boys. I have two of these mowers. And don't need them both. These create fantastic hay, by allowing a consistent cure on all the forage, which is then raked and baled or fed in the field.Because the forage is not crimped, it maintains more nutrition and makes great feed, also not absorbing as much moisture if it is rained on. Up for bids is a Ford 501 6' 3pt Sickle Mower. Came from a local farm that has owned it for a long time. Looks to be fairly complete and decent shape. I did mow with it this past summer. I do know that it will probably need the knives sharpened or replaced and adjusted soon. It is okay for stalky plants but bogs in fine grass. Also. It will need some work on the breakaway couple spring. It is missing a bolt that puts tension on the breakaway latch. Oliver 438 Hay Sickle Mower Conditioner 9' Cut Haybine Tractor Farmall Deere
Up for bids is an Oliver 438 Hay Sickle Mower Conditioner- 9' cut 9' cut sickle. Hydraulic lift, one laminated rubber roll and one solid steel roll. Laminated roll has one piece of laminated roll that is popping out(see picture) other than that the rolls are okay. Knives and guards are rusty, but has been sitting blocked up not buried in the dirt. I did take a picture of a drive chain that looks like it has come off, maybe that's why it was parked? I'm really not sure as I know very little about the functionality other than it did work at one time. This old mower conditioner has been sitting for quite a while outside as you can see and is very rusty all over. As such assume that all chains. Adjustments, etc are frozen. It will certainly need lots of penetrating oil, time, and elbow grease to get everything turning again. Despite ... morethe rust and sitting it does look as if it could be made to work again. Bush Hog 4' SQ480 Compact Tractor mower and John Deere green Ballast Box
I'm listing these for a relative. This is for a Bush Hog brand Squealer SQ480 4' bush hog. This is an actual bush hog brand and isn't some piece of junk you find at your local home farm center. The bush hog has very little use and was used with a small John Deere tractor around 20 HP. This would be great for a small compact tractor. Also. Included is ballast box that is painted john deere green. I'm not sure if this is a factory john deere part, since I couldn't find any markings on the ballast box, but it is in john deere green paint. I'll just sell it as a very high quality HEAVY DUTY aftermarket part. Both of these pieces of farm equipment have had little use and I guess to say the bush hog only has around 150 hours of useage. I would rate both an 8 out of 10 on cosmetic condition. I've even taken a pic of bottom ... moreof bush hog and you can see how little it has been used. It still has the orginal paint under the deck.
