Land Pride model FDR 1648 mower deck in good condition. Used less than 10 hours. It was stored outside, so the gearbox has some rust on the outside. Blades cut okay but could use a sharpening, they have never been sharpened before so there is a lot of life in them still. Put it on the tractor today, and it works just fine, nice smooth cut. Fits 3 point hitch. Category 1. 48 inch cut. Rear discharge. Nice even cut because the mowing deck stays constant height above the ground on all four corners. I purchased this mower and fully serviced it including new blades. 4 new tires and everything greased with plans to mow my field, however, after about 20 minutes of cutting I came to the realization that my tractor was under powered to run this deck. It is a real shame because this deck cuts unbelievably well. Mower is very well built and will provide many more years of service and is in real nice condition. My loss is your gain. FYI, my tractor has 21 HP and I was told that you need at least 26 HP to run this deck efficiently. This deck sells for over $3000 new. Land Pride FDR 1672 - 72" finish mower
This mower is in good condition. It cuts evenly and operates quietly. It does have normal wear from being used, but overall is in good shape. A great deal considering these 72" Land Pride mowers have a great reputation and are very expensive to buy new. Runs on 540 pto. I've used it with a 35hp tractor and has done very well, purchased from someone who used it on a 26hp tractor. It does weigh 600lbs, so you will need to bring a trailer. Land Pride Finishing Mower 11 ft.
Photos at the end are of the grass after using this mower. First one is this year, others are from a couple years ago. We bought this in 2003 or 2004. It wasn't used much from 2005 till 2008 and then not every time we mowed. The best thing about this mower is that it is FAST and it doesn't windrow. If you cut foot tall grass it may not be quite as even as the photos but it's close. New gearbox on one of the wings a couple years ago. One new belt this summer and all new blades. I think we have a couple more belts we will throw in with it. We have used a 560 Farmall to pull it. Husband says it takes a tractor at least 40 hp. Replaced the main pulley on the gear box with a new one from Land Pride. Bearings for the blades are good. Repainted the entire unit with original Land Pride paint. We used it last year and all of this year but are selling the tractors that pull it. The little tractor we have remaining will not be strong enough. Pulled it with a 50 Hp diesel tractor which had more than enough power. The FDR25 mowers are rated 15-50 Hp mowers. Check the landPride website for more details on the mower. I have a very nice Land Pride FDR1660 rear discharge finish mower pto 3 point attachment for sale. I purchased it brand new this March 2014 to get ready for the spring mowing season. It was the perfect size for my old tractor. But it is not wide enough to cover the tracks on my new larger tractor, so I must sell it to make room for a much larger unit. I have only used the mower to mow a couple of acres three times or so since I got it if I recall. The unit works perfectly like a new one and I have all the manuals and pto shaft included. Has a new belt and mows very well. Pictures were taken at night and all the rust is just surface rust. no soft spots or wholes. I bought this from a SOD Farm and used it for a few months prior to getting my belly mower. I pulled it behind a 30hp JD and only had issues when the grass was tall and going up a hill.
