ardisam earth quake 8" auger[it actually measures 7.5" OD] with techumseh TCII TC300 engine. the engine and gearbox work fine. engine has good compression. the gas tank and gas cap are cracked and have been attempted to be repaired as shown in the close up photo. The tank is still cracked thru the repair and is leaking[they need to be replaced] the throttle control and spring are not working properly and need to be repaired/replaced or converted to a cable throttle. the tip of the auger has been welded with hard facing, i dont know if it comes that way. this unit is being sold needing repair as is no returns. ups to lower 48 only.

It was working well, then stalled. I then took the carb off, cleaned it out, the internal filter had alot of gunk) put a new e3 12 spark plug in it. Drilling resumed, I took a few pictures of the holes as you see. Now then, the throttle on this unit has a'sweet spot' which is about half trigger. Ive seen this before on some Stihl units. If you mash ... morethe trigger all the way to the handle it will bog down. Again guys, if this is too tough for you to deal with, this unit is NOT for you. I repeat, NOT for you. Other than that, its working and drilling well if you just work with it like that. Used equipment will always have issues, this one is no exception. If I remember right the BT 120 was over $1000 for a brand new one. The current BT 121 is right around $970 out the door. So these are expensive machines. Its as is where is. Thats why Im running this auction with NO RESERVE. It ends where ever it ends, regardless of price. The engine is KNOWN to be good, compression tested today@ just shy of 140 psi. Sold machine& 1 drill& have a few drills left. The auger fitting is 1" hole with 1 3/4" outside. It is 31 1/2" long& is Full flited. It ships at 14#s& goes in a box 7x9x32. I also have other new auger for sale that is 4" 2" This used one has a shock box with it. It cuts down on the jarring when you hit root or other stuff. I can't find the shock box listed anywhere. But I think it was 60.00 itself.

haynes little beaver post hole auger,hole digger,5 hp briggs,vintage,5 auger bit
Up for auction is my vintage Haynes post hole auger.Im pretty sure that this is the predecessor to the little beaver. This unit works well and includes 5 bits. I just used it this past weekend with the 4 inch bit and it worked great.I have included a picture of the hole it dug(see picture) Please note- this thing is an animal and it WILL kick your but if your not careful.I am 6 ft 3 and 240 pounds and it wanted to throw me around like a rag doll, especially when it catches a tree root, and that was just using the 4 inch diameter bit. Believe me,as long as you can hold on then those roots are no match for this unit.You might even want to consider modifying this to a two man auger,especially if you plan on using the 11 inch diameter bit that is included. There have been some repairs done to it over the years. The outer casing around the drive ... morecable has had a couple of steel sleeves tack welded around it and the throttle cable is not original.Also the outer edge of the clutch has had a new band welded to it(see pictures) All the repairs seem to work just fine.The 5 hp briggs starts rite up and doesnt leak or burn oil,runs very strong.The bits that are included 1- 11 inch diameter by 45 inch total length, 1-8 1/2 inch diameter by 45 inch total length,1- 6 inch diameter by 44 inch total length, 1- 6 inch diameter thats missing the replaceable tip. All of the bits are covered in a pretty heavy cote of surface rust but i can tell you that as far as with the 4 inch bit i just used the rust had no effect on its operation. These bits should fit any unit that take a 1 1/4 inch square shank.Please bare in mind that this is a vintage unit and might last for years or hours.This would also be great for parts for another unit. 2 digging auger bits - One 6" and one 12"
as far as condition goes the pics say it all so zoom in and take a closer look. both the bits are approx. 31 1/2"long. even though the tape measure makes it look like the bits are 11"wide and 5"wide the bits are actually 12"wide and 6"wide. it must be the angle that makes the bits look smaller. I don't know what type of machine these bits go to. I couldn't find a brand name on them.

This is a McMillen model 1 8000 post hole digger for skid steer loaders. This unit comes with a 12" 24" Augers. Auger extension and hex to round adapter. This unit works well and the augers are in good shape. The hoses are pretty old so I'm sure how long before they will need to be replaced. P lease call Tony@ 717-887-1606 with any questions.
