Pengo DT-15 2 Speed Auger Drive w/ 15,448 Ft lbs of torque
This auger drive was used to dig 18" holes to a depth of 8' and performed flawlessly in our rocky and heavy clay Wyoming soils. It has a 3" hex shaft which can be adapted to other sizes. We finished the one job we purchased this for and dot anticipate doing any similar projects in the near future. if you have a heavy duty digging application where you need more power than a simple bobcat auger or need a new auger for a digger derrick this is what you need. It has 15.448 ft lbs of torque in high gear and about half that in low gear. WE had it mounted on a 20 ton excavator for what we were doing and even thought about mounting it on a large frame skid steer. It comes with about 15 ft of hoses and the mount for an excavator pin. The only major requirement is that whatever it is on has to provide 25 GPM of flow for it to shift to ... morehigh gear properly. Almost all of large frame skid steers these days have that. PENGO AUGER BIT MODEL SB-35 Found this nice piece of American history while metal detecting the desert in Tonopah. Arizona. This Auger bit was buried about 6 inches under the sand. It's made of heavy Iron. It's a real mystery to my how this would have been lost in the desert. What was it doing there? Maybe it fell off the back of a chuckwagon years ago. Pengo 15" Dirt Auger R-256 head 2 9/16" round
HI Guys. This is a 15" Pengo auger with a R-256 head(2 9/16" round) I originally purchased it for my Ditch Witch Mini-Skid Steer, but I've never used it. It has the 40/50 teeth and the Triflow pilot with the three wings. I use a 12" and 18" auger with the same setup and they work well in everything from dirt to hard-pack dirt with DG. In the DG the teeth wear quickly, but they are cheap to replace. I've dug some really hard material with these augers by just adding a lot of weight to it. I don't want to try and ship this, so I'm listing as pick-up only, but I do drive back and forth between Oxnard and the central coast up to Paso Robles and I head up to Visalia in the valley and as far as Escondido down the 15. So I'd be willing to meet up somewhere and deliver at no charge(provided you can work with ... moremy schedule) Thanks for looking.
