Up for auction is an Operator's Manual for a John Deere No. 5 mounted sickle bar mower or also known as a caster-wheel power mower. This manual is a must have if you own one of these mowers. It overs just about everything you need to know from maintenance. Set-up, adjustment and operation of the mower. It shows how to hook it up to the John Deere tractors and many other brand tractors. It covers manual and hydraulic lifting. The book is in real nice condition. It is a little wrinkly from being tossed here or there over the years but nothing bad. The pages are very clean and bright and only a couple have what looks like some light greasy smudging from someone going through the book. The pictures look like there is some yellowing but it is actually shadows, I couldn't get the book to lay totally flat when taking the pictures. It is ... morein real good shape for a manual this old. John Deere part number is OM-H10-156. This is a used antique or vintage item so no warranties or returns. JOHN DEERE No. 5 SICKLE MOWER CASTER-WHEEL POWER MOWER ANTIQUE UNSTYLED D
Up for auction is a John Deere No. 5 mounted sickle bar mower or also known as a caster-wheel power mower. This has the seven foot cutter bar. This came with an Unstyled D I bought years ago and had been used on the tractor since the mower was new according to the original owner. The mower came as you see it in the pictures and is being sold the same way. It shouldn't take much to get this back up and running or you can use it for parts for your mower. The pto drive shaft with slip clutch is all there. There is a weld near the slip clutch as shown in the pictures but it is solid. The lower foot that the cutter blade mounts to is missing as is the pit-man arm. The transmission works fine. When you turn the PTO shaft the flywheel spins freely. The cutter bar looks to be in excellent condition and I'm throwing in one of the two blades ... moreshown in the pictures. They are both in real good condition. This is a used antique or vintage item so no warranties or returns. Please make sure this is what you want or need before bidding. Local pickup only unless you can set up shipping for the item.
