Here is a New Idea 279 mower cut conditioner it good shape and it works just fine. It is a 9' cut. We got it in and hooked it up it seems to run out just fine. It is a 540 pto and hydraulic lift. Up for sale is a New Idea 9 foot Cut ditioner. I bought this a s aback up machine and we have not used it so It is time for it to go. The machine is in fair condition for its age. The blades are the ones that are replaceable. If you have never used one of these machine they are the best and worse thing you can use. We still use a 7 foot cutditioner. As it lets you start cutting a little earlier in the year because this will make the hay dry. But it takes a lot of horse power to pull it. It make our 656 work hard on the 7 footer. This is a Flail mower designed to operate on tractors up to 50 HP. Used to mow parks and golf courses and is especially effective on large yards and pastures. The offset on the 3PT hitch allows it to extend past the right rear tire allowing close cutting next to fences. It is of heavy duty construction is easy to maintain. It was purchased to use behind a L285 Kubota but is heavier than the tractor can efficiently handle. It has been stored in a shed since I bought it with limited use. I have a few too many trees to dodge and cut around. The actual width of the cutting area is 74" or 6' 2" as stated in the owners manual. The mower is equipped with two types of grass knives. Flail mower mott alamo model 88 74"
This a Mott model 88 flail mower. Last summer we used it and its probably my favorite mower because it does a good job cutting tall grass. Gear box is in working order. End of last summer. I started taking the knives off to replace them. But sold property so got side tracked. So you will need new knives and belt for it. The cover has been missing for a long time. As of now. The belt pulley is missing but if I find it, it will go with the mower. Good luck
