Kuhn Discbine Mower Conditioner
This is a Kuhn 283 RTG 9' 2" cut 540 PTO with rubber roller conditioners. It has very low acres as you can see the cutter bars still have plenty of paint on them. This unit has less than 400 acres on it. I am selling all of my hay equipment. I will have balers and rakes to follow as they are being rebuilt. Look on fast line or tractor house and most dealers are asking 15K plus. This machine has average wear with good maintenance and newly replaced parts. I'm upgrading machines and offering this New Holland 1411 discbine for sale. I just finished mowing with it for the season. It is in good useable condition. In 2013 I replaced 3 of the turtle hubs on the cutter bar. Put new bearings in the gearbox that drives the cutter bar& rolls, installed one new tire. The right small curtain is missing, the front curtain is showing wear. The knives are good and still can be turned once. the rubber rolls are good, I had a knife come loose last year and made marks on one part of the bottom roll, that doesn't affect the operation of the roll. This discbine is 1000 rpm pto drive, and will require two Hydraulic remotes. If you are not familiar with New Holland discbines, the cutter bar has individual moduals, so you can repair any one section of the cutter bar without repairing the whole cutter ... morebar like on other brands. Here is a nice clean and well taken care of new holland 489 haybine mower conditioner. Always shedded and maintained. We just pulled it to this hay patch to cut tomorrow. We have had it 5 years and was a family friends since new before that. Has 9 foot cut and new sickle. Hydraulic up and down and manual swing tongue. conditioner rolls are in good shape and still crimping well.Has settings to wind row or lay out flat.
