Up for bids is a 5' 3pt Hitch Brush Hog. I cannot find a tag on it to identify the manufacturer. But looks like it could be a Woods or Brush Hog brand. It appears in decent overall condition. It does not have a stump jumper on the blades. Laminated solid tail wheel. The blades look in decent condition. The deck seem solid. With a little rust through on the deck frame support(see pictures) Has been repainted in the past. I have not had the time to hook it up to verify the gearbox condition. But it is free. Massey Ferguson MF60 5 Foot Rotary Cutter - Bush Hog
Massey Ferguson MF60 5 foot rotary cutter for three point hitch. Very Heavy Duty! Built like a Tank with t hick steel deck and sides. This is an older unit but still in good condition. Check out the pics. What I know about it: It is rusty. But there are no rusted through spots. The deck is very heavy gauge. The hitch pins have been replace and welded in place(see pics) There is some damage on the shaft housing. But it does not affect operation The gearbox has a minor leak under the deck(see pics) I purchased this cutter about three years ago to use with my Ford 9N tractor. It worked well cutting brush on straight lines. But I wanted to cut some winding paths in the woods and this one was a little heavy to maneuver sharp curves with that small a tractor. Plus, it was all the 9N could do to lift it(I'm guessing it weighs upwards of 1000 ... morelbs) I'm selling it as my Dad bought me a new. Lighter one from tractor supply a couple years ago. Fixer Upper" Five Foot Bush Hog. The entire PTO Shaft is there. But the button on the tractor side yoke is missing. It would need to be replaced or bolted on through the hole in the tractor shaft. The gearbox turns and seems to be good. The deck needs some welding/repair. There is some baler twine that needs to be cut out of the blades. Bearing in the tail wheel is sloppy. AS-IS. Some welding or repairs have been made on the deck. Deck is in good shape for an old cutter. Button for the tractor end of the PTO shaft is missing. You will have to use a bolt through the pto shaft on the tractor end to hold the shaft onto the tractor. Spins quiet and smooth. New tail wheel. I can load it for you.
